My family and I had given up on trying to find a clean, family friendly and reliable place to eat in downtown Olympia after the pandemic but was very surprised to find Well 80 like a diamond in the rough! We came through for dinner on a Sunday night with my husband and my 5 yeah old daughter and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It was pretty quiet, not too loud with noise and nice to find a good sized space for families to enjoy dining. As well, they have a well stocked bar and cozy space on the 21 and over side.

Our server Alex, was very accommodating and patient with us as we navigated the menu and answered many questions about the different beers they offered as well ordering a burger and the different sauce options. The drinks were delicious, burgers were hot and fresh and messy and atmosphere was great.

I love the TV in the bathroom that were playing old 80s sitcoms on reruns for an extra added laugh. Only things I wish were better lighting to read the menus, especially for the nighttime crowd. Otherwise, I highly recommend this place for a well priced, all around dependable dining experience for your family or drinks with friends.

The flavor of the food was good. The portions were very small. My chicken sandwich had maybe a 1/4 of a breast. Way over priced. The service as non existant. We were there fir almost 2 hours. Never filled our drinks. Did not ask if we wanted another beer. There are too many choices to go there. Paid about $200.00 7 of us. Would have spent more in drinks but only saw the waitress when she took our order and dropped off the bill.

Simple, classic burgers done incredibly well.
The drive in burger with a beyond patty was so good I'm already thinking about when I can return for another. It paired perfectly with hand cut fries, and as someone who loves buffalo sauce for dipping, the fact that they have house made buffalo sauce was icing on the cake.
With the only exception being a certain burger chain in CA that will always have a special place in my heart, I have not had a better burger.

The Brussel sprouts are not ordinary, they have Gogugang and other seasonings and roasted perfectly and can be swapped for fries?! What? Heck Yes! Great beer and their food is always delicious. Our waiter was outstanding and spent time letting us know the menu and drinks as to what he liked. Can’t go wrong with Well 80! Also the chili like popcorn was endless n only .80 cents!? So good! Next I’m trying the s’mores waffle!! I’m a S’more snob of sorts!

We had a great experience this evening! We started with the Oly Fries. They fries were cooked perfectly, the onions were sweet, and the special fry sauce was amazing! We ordered the Black & Bleu Burger, Paris Bistro Steak and the kids Grilled Cheese as our entrees. Everything came quickly and tasted excellent. The steak came with a sauce on the side that kind of has a woodsy/pine taste. Not personally my favorite but very interesting! They have a fireplace and games that you can sit and chill at but just know that kids aren't allowed in that area! They have a TV in the bathroom which is kind of fun!

I’ve never left a review before, but let me tell you about this place. I have some dietary restrictions which makes it extremely hard to go out to eat ( I rarely EVER go out to eat because of it )… and I have experience in high end restaurants previously as a cook and customer service.

When we came in we went and sat at the bar and I very clearly know my diet but some drinks I have to double check, and she just HAD to let me know beer has carbs as if I just started going out to bars. It came off rude. Then told me that the alcoholic drink in the seltzer section of the menu wasn’t a seltzer and a soda.

Then I had to order food, which I followed my restrictions like I said it’s hard enough to try and order food and I hate being that person as it is. As someone who’s worked in the kitchen, when she took the ticket to the cooks they started shaking their heads. Whether it was because of me or not my order was not complicated, a LETTUCE WRAPPED BURGER. And Brussel sprouts. I don’t know if that’s complicated or what but don’t be a cook if you don’t want to do the job?

I’m not sure what really happened, but as someone who’s been in there shoes, you leave that attitude for after work, and it would’ve made a massive difference if she just asked what my diet was instead of assuming and having an attitude. Me and my partner both felt the negativity. It cost $0 to be nice.

It’s already uncomfortable for me to go out and have to try my best to not be inconvenient, I almost didn’t feel welcome for what I think was a simple request, lettuce wrap burger and Brussel sprouts with no paste.

We did a farewell luncheon at Well 80. It is our second time visiting this location, the first time being in April of this year. Most of my colleagues opted for burgers/soups. I tend to stick to the brussell sprout appetizer and the chicken and waffle entrée. I tried the Ocktoberfest meal this time that came with sauerkraut and a pretzel. Though the bratwurst from DelMonico’s (love them) was delicious, I left the rest mostly untouched. The staff is friendly and helpful but very busy. This place gets a decent amount of traffic, and it is for good reason.
