Customer Feedback

The store has received 10 reviews on Google My Business, with an average rating of 2.5/5.

One notable review states:

"Took Rx to Gilford Walmart, Store 2639, vision center. It was filled professionally and in a personal, friendly manner by Benjamin Prentice, Vision Center Manager. I was delighted with his attention and the manner in which he fitted the new lenses to my old frames, both regular and sun glasses and then adjusted them to my 90-year old face. Roger is a young man who has a terrific future. I would be delighted to offer an endorsement for any future promotion and do wish him all the best in all coming endeavors."

The man that was working today 1-25-21 @ Wal-Mart Gilford NH Vision center was very rude and not very helpful. My glasses were ordered last week and i received a call on the 22nd that they were ready unfortunately i live 40 minutes from the store and my girlfriend was at the store today so i asked her to pick them up. The man was rude and said she had to wait 45 minutes as he sat there and said he was on lunch. Everything was paid for4 and they were ready 2 days ago all he had to do was find the order and hand them to her.Instead he said he could get fired for working on his lunch break and said she has to wait 45 minutes. All the lights were on in the Vision center and it looked like it was open there was no sign saying closed for lunch or any indication that the vision center was not open to CUSTOMERS at that time. Maybe the person should turn the lights off and put up a sign closed for lunch be back at ? and go in the back room for his lunch that way CUSTOMERS would know it was closed and not assume it was open. But when he is sitting right there in the open all lights on and no sign to say it was lunch break one would assume as a Paying CUSTOMER that Appropriate service is to be expected not to treated like the customer was Bothering the Attendant and not to talk to him because he was on lunch. To top0 it off he tossed the package to her without checking that is was correct and the order was not correct!!!! I purchased a NEW Pair of glasses and also a spare Left lens because im bling in my right eye and i use the glasses for work and they get scratched to a point i cant see well in about 6 months then i just install the SPARE lens But the spare lens was not in the package so now i have to take 2 hours to fix the problem not to mention the $$$$ it cost me to make the UNNECESSARY trip Back to the store Because the person was upset because he got bothered on his lunch break and didnt check to make sure that the order was complete.......

Changed my acct to "walk in only" FOR NO REASON. The last time I had an apmt there, THEY messed up the apmt. time or date, and so I came, (after arranging a ride because I don't have a car anymore because I can't afford it.) and was made to wait until later in the day, when another time was available. (while my ride had to drive around for an hour). I finally got in, and the Dr. arranged 2 follow up apts. both of which I went to on time. So I feel discriminated against. Because of his discriminatory note, I ( and my ride) had to go 30 miles out of town, to go to another Walmart to get my eye exam. The good news is, this "Dr." (Dobrowolski) won't get anymore of my money, that I had to save up, for 3 MONTHS, to pay cash because I don't have insurance. I'm happy to give it to someone else, who doesn't single people out for some unknown reason. Before this, I thought he was a thorough Dr. It just goes to show you, that looks can be deceiving. Please patronize another Dr., who treats all customers with dignity, and values each of them, who try their best, in difficult situations. I'm extremely poor, because I have about 4 invisible disabilities. As such, people have discriminated against me my whole life. It doesn't get any easier, to not be valued like any other random person, who doesn't have to fight their whole life, to obtain basic needs. Also, a person having a title, does NOT mean they have any ethics! The worst thing about this area is that it doesn't have any public transportation & all the "resources" for rides for the disabled, or elderly, insist on having too much personal info. They don't "card" people on subways, or general public busses in other areas. People just pay $1 & get on. (old fashioned privacy) Taxis are way too expensive.

Required 4 visits to fit contacts even though I've been wearing them for over 20 years. Prescription was needlessly changed for very minor adjustment. Then Dobrowolski charged more than Blue Cross allows for the regular eye exam.

After making an appointment a month in advance and being assured there would be no cancelation, they canceled, very poor look.
