Had an incredible happy hour with my girlfriends food was great service was great. The place is very upscale but casual at the same time so it’s perfect for weekday or weekend. Had a spicy ranch water. It was delicious my chicken brussels sprout salad was phenomenal. Everybody was very happy.

Stopped by during weekday happy hour and sat at the bar. The bar is spacious and perfect for relaxing. I ordered a beer and the salmon cakes—both were delicious!

I had the pleasure of being served by Alexis during my recent visit to Thirsty Lion in Tempe, and I have to say, she made our experience exceptional! From the moment we sat down, Alexis greeted us with a warm and friendly smile, and her upbeat attitude really set the tone for a great meal.

She was incredibly attentive throughout our visit, ensuring our drinks were always full and checking in just the right amount without being overbearing. Her recommendations were spot on — we tried a few new dishes based on her suggestions, and everything was delicious. She really knows the menu and is passionate about making sure guests have a great experience.

Not only was Alexis knowledgeable and efficient, but she was also personable and made us feel like we were the only table in the restaurant, despite the busy atmosphere. It's clear she truly enjoys what she does, and it shows in her service.

Overall, our time at Thirsty Lion was made even better because of Alexis. Her excellent service made all the difference, and I’d definitely return, hoping to be served by her again! Highly recommend her to anyone visiting the Tempe location!

Okay so the food is phenomenal. I have to say that right off the bat. Burgers are cooked correctly to your liking and they taste like they're straight off the BBQ grill so good. The sauces/dressings taste homemade and we loved the salad. All the ingredients are high quality and you can tell the chefs put a lot of love into their cooking. The Lion Lemonade was very yummy. The atmosphere is great too! There are firepits outside and it's dim lit inside with fun music and lots of big screen TV's. The place is big and it's very popular so make reservations. The service was slow but the staff were really cool. Will definitely be back!

Our server Denise was outstanding. She was attentive, outgoing and knowledgeable. She made sure to get the correct information for our friend with food allergies. The food was delicious. Everyone in our party of 6 enjoyed their food. I highly recommend the salmon cakes. We will definitely be back soon.

The food was good, but the amount of food(protein) was not. I ordered the shrimp pad Thai plate and it would’ve been great if it had more shrimp. Only 5 pieces of shrimp on the plate. The plate had more of the rice than anything. Maybe 8 shrimps would be more worth it. The flavors were good! The service was great and the atmosphere! The sauces that came with the cheese curds were so delicious! I would recommend that as an appetizer!

Looking for a place with some creative menu offerings and good old standards, this is the place. The outdoor seating is terrific on an Arizona evening. Our server was out quick with water and to take our drink order. They offer a good choice of beers and specialty cocktails. We went with the French Dip. Beer & Cheese soup, and the Gochujang BBQ Pork & Kimchi Fried Rice. I have to say the Korean smoked pork was prepared perfectly. Tender and seasoned well, plus the gochujang sauce brought good heat and a balanced flavor. Our server noted it was his favorite menu item. I fully agree. Service was spot on, and the prices were certainly fair for good upscale gastropub style food. It all made for a terrific evening.

Had the chicken avocado sandwich. I loved it and me being hungry added to the taste.. try to sit outside this girl Tanecia is a wonderful addition to the place. She is pleasant and a great at minimal interaction to the maximum effect.. thirsty lion let’s keep seeing each other..
