The Saxon Pub is the airport location for a bar in Austin. The main location is pretty good, and has a wider selection of food. This one has almost no food, and the beer is prohibitively expensive. I know they have to make up for the high airport rent, But it’s just too much.

Got a beer here while waiting for luggage. The menu has prices for food but not for drinks. $16.64 for a single beer? That’s really steep, talking Norwegian beer prices. Not displaying prices on menu to me seems very deceptive.. I probably would have thought twice about placing order.

Total and complete rip off. $36 for a double Buffalo Trace. Yes $36 for a drink. The receipts don't even show the name of the place on them. Service is slow as can be with one guy working the bar at mid day.

Drink was served in a dirty glass. Yes you can clearly see that.

They also didn't bother even IDing, so go ahead and try when you're underage.

This place is the worst of Austin. Overpriced for mediocre service. Ill definitely be sure to bring my mini liquor next time I come through Austin. This place is just terrible. More expensive then California.

First words out of the bartender, "You can't sit there...." I should have known then to try another bar. I was told I couldn't sit on the other side of the tape (one seat across the line) Bartender assumed I wanted to "watch the game" and directed me to a seat I did not want to be in. I wanted the quiet seat because I needed to process the previous 16 hours spent trapsing across the damn globe.... in hindsight, the server was metering the number of available seats. Goodness forbid you have a full bar and have to actually work! Tired and just wanting a drink, I sat for 2 pints over 2 hours waiting on flight delay. Halfway through pint #2, I noticed THE FLIES IN THE LIME JAR!!! As a retail person for many years, I may be overly critical with the attention to detail I observed being overlooked, but..... GROSS. Not once did the bartender WIPE THE COUNTER AFTER A PATRON VACATED A SEAT...IN TWO MFN HOURS! THE back bar is filthy with wine stains. The cooler glass doors look like 14 puppies died inside them, trying to lick their way out. Call John Taffer, THIS AIRPORT BAR IS DISGUSTING AND NEEDS A HEALTH DEPARTMENT INSPECTION!!!!!

If you have ever or never been to the Austin International airport, this is the spot to grabbed yourself some drinks before your way out of Austin.

I have come here a many of times I have flown out of Austin. The service can be a hit or miss. I haven’t had any issues with my credit card being scanned and hack like others have said. Needless to say be watchful of your card and I would recommend always use Apple or Google pay.

There is plenty of seating and there is a taco truck right across from this spot to grab yourself a bite while you’re grabbing some drinks here.

I wish I had taken a picture they took my glass. But orded an old flashion at the airport. Not only was the glass half full the price was $22 and when I got the the end of my drink I discovered an orange which looked like someone chewed it up and spit it out. When I complained they basically said too bad.
I'll never stop there again you can bet that.

Do not miss the Friday evening band at 6:00 p.m.. they are great. They play oldies and they are oldies except for the one beautiful guitar player.

Average airport prices $18+ per cocktail. Just wish the server didn’t act like she was forced to work there.
