One star because I've never interacted with this company but somehow they got my email address and started spamming me. On a different note, if you're in the digital marketing field (I own an agency), you can tell by looking at their reviews that most of them are fake. I would beware of companies like this.

2 months into the service and i opted for the most expensive plan (2.5k) due to the need to get the best backlinks. One of the new backlinked articles have a link to my competitor in the same article that i paid for!!!

Do your self a favor and stay away from this company. They sent me to collections after not providing me any services for the last half of the contract. I’m truly disappointed in the lack of service from this company. I was paying top dollar for their services and their communication was poor to say the least. I wouldn’t trust a word they say. Avoid this company at all costs. Unethical use of AI has taken over. They spew cheap content and undercut the people who work for them. If you're thinking of using the Hoth, here are some far better alternatives out there.

Ordered a few backlinks only for them to be poorly written, probably by someone in India.. when I had issues with the links, I reached out to support and haven't heard back in over a week. The anchor link in one of the backlinks I received didn't even target my site and was useless. Instead of them fixing it, they left that link with the issues and removed a link that I had no issues with. I've attempted to contact them multiple times to no avail. Customer service is horrendous and this will be the last time I ever waste my money on both services.

One star is a bit harsh, two is appropriate. We ordered a backlink for local seo purposes, and the backlink was a periodical nowhere near our location and the content included locations not even in the country. The HOTH stated, with exact specificity, that geography and content constructed for the area that the local seo is needed, are not important in backlinks. Lornalyn A and Andrew H both echo this same position. The website is great, the execution is terrible. For anyone knows a bit about SEO, they will find out the product and service The HOTH provides is poor at best. It is unfortunate, the website and reports are professional, but since the product is so bad, it is moot. Side note, if you engage in a particular service and they slow walk the issues needed to move forward, you will not be provided the discount that might have been relevant at the time. Bait and switch is the best way I can describe it.
