Taylor (sorry, may have misspelled her name) was great, very helpful and checked with us often.

the sausage and white bean soup hit the spot, and the savory pie of the day, shepherd's style with pork and hatch chilies was just the dish i needed but didn't know it.

was surprised with the whiskey flight, when the whiskey specialist (Josh?) brought it over, to explain what was in the flight and how to best enjoy it. that was a sampler i can recommend. I'm sure the whiskey 101 isn't the same every time, as it may possibly change based on availability (the menu had something listed that was different from what i enjoyed, but not complaining). with over 600 from around the world that was available, can't even guess how long it would take to sample all of those.

another idea would be to stay at the Inn, and be able to just walk to a room, sleep it off, and continue on the journey through their selections. it'd certainly be a cozy idea for a couple, especially when getting a weekend away from the kids.

I'd recommend a visit. if I'm not there for dinner, you might find me in the bar.

I cannot speak highly enough about this restaurant! The food is exquisite. Everything I've had there is the best version of that dish I've ever had. The fish & chips, the Reuben (their corned beef is otherworldly), their pies, the beef Wellington, everything. One of my favorite dishes is the corned beef poutine, and if I were to drown in a vat of their ale cheese, I would consider it a worthwhile death. The service is always wonderful, and they really know their stuff. I attended one of their whisky classes and found it very fun and informative. I even won some great prizes in whisky bingo! The Burns Pub is among my top three favorite restaurants in all of Colorado, and I hope they keep doing their thing for a long, long time.

⭐ DELICIOUS ⭐ absolutely eat here if you're considering it.
I'm often on the fence about pub food but this was sooo good.
Great staff. Good food. Just the right amount of things on the menu.

Staff had a great attitude. Seated outside fast and our waitress was down to earth and I honestly love her. Wish more waitstaff at restaurants were less pressured and comfortable, often they can be forced smiles hiding exhaustion underneath. Didn't see any of that here which is a great sign.

Got a pie with puff pastry, the savory pie of the day, beef and Guinness I believe.
My pals got a few other dishes, happy customers.
No complaints.
Had a cocktail and a sorbet made in house.
Probably the best raspberry sorbet I've ever had.

Came here for family lunch, my chicken sandwich was ok, tasted bit plain and their “secret sauce “ made the bun soggy which I’m not a big fan of that.

One thing I don’t like is that they add 1.5% “living wage surcharge “ to the bill, you can request to remove that. It’s not that much dollar amount but if the restaurant needs the customer make a request to taking off the extra fee they shouldn’t be charged, then I’m sure I won’t come back again.

Came here because we saw it on DDD and after moving here, realized it was close enough to make the 40min drive. So worth it!!! So much whiskey!!!!!! Scotch eggs, delicious! Peas, delicious! Fish and chips, delicious! Sandwich, delicious! And the sticky toffee pudding alone is enough for me to come back. Top all that off with great, friendly service... It is worth stopping by. So happy to have found something to satisfy that pub craving with the added benefit of a ton of whiskeys.

This was a delightful surprise of a meal! My husband and I stopped by somewhat spontaneously for a late lunch yesterday and were blown away by the food. I *normally* dislike Reuben sandwiches but wow - this one I ate at The Burns was so undeniably delicious that they’ve turned me into a believer! The Savory Pot Pie (Pork Green Chili) brought a smile to my face. I love a nice flaky, buttery crust to my pies and they nailed it. The juicy, tender pork chunks in the filling were just icing on the cake.

And speaking of icing on cakes, the desserts were simply EPIC! Seriously. I would seriously considering going back just for the desserts alone (but don’t need to since their dishes are amazing too!). The Irish Crème Brûlée proved to be special - they didn’t slap “Irish” in the front just for fun. The liqueur used added a wonderful flare to the custardy dish. The Sticky Toffee Pudding was likely the best I’ve ever had and I’m still in shock about it! The folks at The Burns have perfected the toffee sauce with excellent balance of sweetness and flavor. And they knocked the date cake out of the park with just the right amount of moistness that doesn’t leave you scrambling for the toffee sauce but doesn’t feel drown in syrup either. I highly recommend getting it! Leave space or make space for it and a scoop of ice cream on top. I told our waitress (who was great, in case your wondering about the quality of service) that the next time my husband and I stop by, we’ll be getting both the Irish Crème Brûlée and Sticky Toffee Pudding.

If you find yourself in the area, stop by The Burns and enjoy!

Thought I was done but forgot to give a shoutout to the House Ginger Beer! My husband loves Ginger Beer and declared the one at The Burns to be an 100/10! It was bright and fresh and there were even small ginger root specks I could see near the top. It made me even happier to enjoy our meal there. It’s always a blessing to eat at an establishment that takes such care and pride in what they create - food or drink!

Great local English pub! Many great homemade food options, full bar and solid draft list, and an outdoor patio. Located inside a fancy inn, it's worth a visit even if you aren't staying there! Guinness nitro draft.

Epic Meal! Cottage pie, Bangers and Mash, and Fish 'N Chips were all excellent. The Whiskey/Scotch selection was impressive and the staff was extremely knowledgeable making whiskey recommendations. Sticky Toffee Pudding was delicious. The waitress was fun, and personable. We lucked into this gem being right near our hotel. But I would drive significantly out of my way to make another visit.
