I have been meaning to write this review for a long time, but I wanted to be able to sit down and write Dan the review he deserves. I’ve so enjoyed looking back through wedding photos on our one year anniversary (can’t believe a year has already flown by!) because Dan did such a beautiful job. If you want someone who is organized, thorough, and a talented photographer, you should hire Terpstra Photography for your wedding (or any event for that matter). Dan is very experienced and patient, and he goes above and beyond by taking the time to sit down with you beforehand to plan a detailed schedule for the day. He’s realistic with expectations and offers great advice to make sure your wedding goes as smoothly as possible. Since he’s seen so many scenarios, his expertise is invaluable. He also offers an engagement shoot as a great way to get to know the couple (not to mention some fantastic save the date photos).

On the day of, Dan is extremely professional and organized, and he is very respectful of the couple’s vision. He’s very energetic and gives his all into making your big day go smoothly (including being able to corral big groups to get some great shots). His service is very personal, and he feels much more like a guest and a friend than someone you’ve hired.

After the wedding, Dan was FAST in getting our photos to us!!! It was amazing. He had compiled the highlights into a “Story of the Day” album less than two weeks after our wedding! We were able to look at the photos the week we got back from our honeymoon. The photographs are incredible; Dan truly has amazing talent. He captured the moments of our big day wonderfully, and everyone was so impressed with how well he captured the nuanced expressions and situations. Dan’s also great at narrowing down the photos to the highlights, so you don’t have to look through thousands of photos right off the bat. You of course have access to all the photos with a USB drive that Dan mails after the wedding.

I’m looking forward to ordering my Storybook with Dan. It’s taking me a long time to narrow down my favorites because there are too many good ones to choose from! Thank you again Dan for capturing our big day so beautifully. Thanks to you, we will be able to relive the details of our wonderful day for years to come.

Our daughter got married two days ago!!! I couldn't wait another minute to toot Dan’s horn. He was so organized and thorough throughout the entire planning process. He has a knack for putting your mind at ease and we went into the day with amazing confidence. His energy, creativity and passion for what he does is immeasurable. Dan is FAST and efficient, which left some much-needed time for breathers and a little R & R before the reception. We appreciated how Dan went above and beyond in setting the timeline for the day, and what a relief that was! Before the night’s end we starting seeing little blips of photos taken through the evening...Even these unedited, raw photos were perfection! We've now been seeing some more images of the day and... WOW... the composition, the lighting... we're blown away. Dan, we love you like family! People, this IS YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER!

Wow - Dan & John were AMAZING. When we chose them to shoot our wedding, we did so mostly because we had seen some of their pictures and liked their style. But they far exceeded our expectations. Dan did a wonderful job of taking command when necessary, making everyone feel super comfortable, and working his tail off to get the best shots. When we saw all of our pictures after the wedding we were blown away that he was able to get some of the shots because we never noticed Dan or John unless they were staging a formal shot. Many of our guests told us how wonderful they thought the photographers were because of their impressive ability to be everywhere and nowhere at the same time...and they were hilarious one on one!

The Party Booth was a huge hit. We had debated if it would be worth it or if it would take away from dancing, but frankly the pictures are worth it 10 times over and it was mostly used during the cocktail hour and when people needed to cool off from the dance floor. Absolutely would do it again - we got amazing candid pictures of our guests having fun!

Ultimately I would absolutely recommend Dan for any future wedding. Every step of the planning was easy and Dan was full of ideas while remaining focused on our vision. Couldn't have asked for a better photographer!
