Updated rating: we originally went to Sunny's for the vegan vibes and vegan food truck, but it does seem different now. There is now a new food truck but it's not vegan and much of the indoor seating is now gone. Still great outdoor area and worth stopping if you want to hang out. (Removing old photos from post)

A tiny little bar, and primarily an outdoor space. Went to a free music enjoyed some excellent music.

I believe the draft beer was $7. It was a dark schwarzbier. They have mixed drinks and canned beer options as well.

It seemed that everyone was having a good time and really enjoying the music. They also had a vendor there with some local shirts. I'm not sure how come the vendors are.

Not sure about food, didn't see anyone with food.

I loved visiting Sunny’s backyard!
Great beer, amazing prices, delicious tacos by Praprika served in the back patio, a special event going on (I had no idea about but still enjoyed)
Would 1000% recommend, can’t wait to be back! 🫶🏽

Chill dive bar! There for sxsw and the sound was awesome. Nice patio w picnic tables for sitting w friends or strangers. Cold beer, priced for humans. My experience with the staff was super. Like super-duper-sunny!

Sonny’s Backyard is a fantastic bar with a lot to offer. There’s plenty of parking, which is always a bonus, and the vibe is perfect for a laid-back night out.

The food trailers on-site serve up some great eats, and you can enjoy live music that plays well into the night—a rare treat for this area. The bar itself is cozy and charming, with a cute interior and a pool table that still takes quarters.

What really sets Sonny’s apart is that it stays open past midnight, making it a go-to spot for late-night fun. Whether you’re there for the music, the food, or just to hang out, Sonny’s Backyard is a great choice for a good time.

We came here for vegan options. While I will say that we’re happy with the meals we ordered, we would’ve liked more options. It’s pretty much fried & spicy food. While I like junk food as the next person, I would’ve appreciated more options, and ones that didn’t cause my reflux to tear it’s ugly head. That said, the food was yummy and it was awesome to watch a movie while we chilled and had beers. Positive note: the bartender is on point and awesome!
Another note: it would be nice if the tables inside were balanced. We cannot lean on said tables without them spilling our drinks.

Great dog friendly outdoor patio that can seat a lot of groups with plenty of shade from the large trees. There's a good food truck that serves vegan food that is pretty darn good. Portions are large so I'd account for sharing unless you like some for later to take home.

The drinks contain Texas beers and fancy cocktails. I'd recommend their happy hour or reverse happy hour if you want to save a few bucks.

I like this place due to the unpretentious nature / chill vibe I get. The people are nice working there and super friendly.

The only downside is we went when it was colder and they don't have patio heaters so bundle up if you are planning on going when it's cold.

Delicious! We arrived just before the rain started and we’re able to get our orders in quickly. The food came out pretty quick and was amazing. The fried banana peppers were something I didn’t know I needed in my life. The perfect amount of crunchiness and kick. Both of our entrees came with a new take on beef and it’s really good. The texture is just right, it’s chunky, and it felt like it you were eating the real thing. The wrap was filling with a good combination of flavors. The the bulgogi tacos were served on crunchy wanton wrappers, a creative idea. We’ll be coming back for more of these for sure.

Looking forward to when the inside will be open. The space is great for hanging out and just relaxing.
