Incredibly rare for a rural area to have coverage as complete and in depth as this. No one else would be covering many of their stories, or at least not in such depth. SMN is a tremendous community asset.

I subscribed to this paper to stay up to date on the area but I had to cancel due to the clear bias. Funny enough, the same woman, Karen, gets printed all the time under Letters to the Editor, and every time she's slinging mud against Republicans. I'm not a R or a D but I can't stand to see a publication so one-sided unless they are marketed as such.
It makes me wonder if they don't get other people sending letters or they just won't print them. I've seen her letters week after week.
Cory's affiliation is clear by the articles he writes.

I thought this would just be news about the Smoky Mountain area but it's not.
If you want a lot of opinions, you might like this paper, but if you want real news, look elsewhere.
