Please reference the article in the Detroit Free Press titled: Company wanted $585K to leave Detroit's whale mural uncovered: 'A slap in the face'

I struggle to understand how a company would want their brand associated with artistic erasure. I encourage Skies Above Media to find a solution that protects and prioritizes the integrity of beloved art in Detroit.

These people are the scum of the earth buying popular areas throughout cities across the country and covering their beautiful works of art such as the whale mural in downtown Detroit and then attempting to charge non-profit organizations astronomical sums just to have their stuff not covered with QR codes and advertisements. There is a special place in design hell for those who would act like this

Holding Detroit's art for a $585,000 ransom (from a nonprofit that educates children about the importance of clean water, no less) is despicable, and they should be ashamed of themselves. That mural was a gift to the city when they were trying to rebuild. It's not advertising space ?

Trying to hold an iconic Detroit Mural hostage when ads could go elsewhere on the building.
