One of the best decisions I’ve made to an organization I work with was to recommend that we hire Shift the Ocean Marketing to build, maintain, and update our website and assist us in developing our brand. Melanie and Sue are truly masters of their craft and consummate professionals. I’ve had the absolute pleasure of working with them for over two years while being their point person at the organization, and throughout that time they flawlessly executed countless tasks relating to the organization’s website and branding.

Melanie and Sue understand the importance of tailoring a website to the needs of each client and they have the skillset to deliver a website that exceeds expectations. Prior to hiring Shift the Ocean Marketing, Melanie and Sue were meticulous in their discussions with me to gain an understanding of the needs of the organization and how the website could serve those needs in the present and future. They then provided an extraordinary proposal for the website that the truly impressed the organization and they immediately became the obvious choice. The number of amazing ideas they had for the website and brand were staggering and their designs were phenomenal.

In building the website, Melanie and Sue’s communication was clear, consistent and efficient. To be honest, I also enjoyed talking to them because they are just wonderful people who are easy to work with. Also, their solution-oriented approach is reassuring. Every want or ask that I’ve made, no matter how simple or complex, they have somehow been able to deliver or offer a reasonable alternative. At the beginning of the process, I didn’t know anything about building a website, but at each step they provided me with a clear understanding of what they were doing and why. They have always been highly receptive to my input, and I genuinely value and trust their opinions.

We wanted to build the website before an upcoming event and, in a relatively short period, Shift the Ocean Marketing built, from scratch, a website that is better than anyone imagined. Also, although we had not completed our branding, the website was consistent with the branding we envisioned. They provided us with a website that made members even more proud to be affiliated with the organization.

In maintaining the website, I speak to them regularly and they are quick to respond to any questions or requests regarding updates. Melanie and Sue are extraordinarily hard workers with extremely high standards. They also have very high standards for their own work, so they often go the extra mile to ensure that everything is done properly and that the client is happy. Our website itself is not only beautiful, as we received a HUGE amount of positive feedback, it offers several functions that will help boost the continued growth of the organization.

I believe we were fortunate to have been able to hire them, just as their other clients are, and I continue to be thankful to them for the job they’ve done and for actually making the process enjoyable.
