DL Banks NOT for the arts, but for your money. A quick google search easily exposes him: DL Banks and Bow Tie Boy.

I am a content creator who used to travel in her van interviewing people with a comedic journalism twist. I met Banks and decided to go into business with him.

I gave Banks $15k to secure a Mercedes Sprinter Van. He claimed he had NFL connections and could get a discounted price on it. Nothing came to fruition but empty promises, saying my idea for gorilla journalism “just didn't sell or garner the attention or attraction we thought it would." However I received zero marketing actions on his part and more importantly, the vehicle, which was what the deal was about.

I decided to look him up and was shocked and embarrassed by what I found. I was not the first person Banks had done this to. When I questioned him he wrote a fake email from another perpetrator (Bow Tie Boy’s mother) apologizing for accusing him. I contacted the mother and she never wrote the email Banks sent to me. I asked for a breakdown to show where my $15k was used and all I got was an invoice saying it was spent on “marketing services,” not to mention the countless spelling errors spread throughout.

He’s a marvelous scam artist. He will prey on anyone with a dream. Banks will deceive, lie, and scam you out of your money. I fell victim to Banks and disregarded the red flags about his business model.

I implore you to consider why all SCENE’s reviews on his FB page are nothing but crypto scams, or why his Google reviews are vague and written in the same timeframe. Answer: to cover up my previous negative review. The photos he chose are stock images and give nothing supporting his business model. There is no multi-city network that Banks boasts about or any employees helping with the marketing of his clients - because he HAS NO clients. He claims he has a database of connections through playing in the NFL, which is a downright lie.

So go ahead and believe the 5 star reviews of those claiming SCENE helped them find great restaurants around Chicago or believe the person who ACTUALLY went into business with Banks.
