Really enjoyed this place. The atmosphere was spot on for me and the food was delicious, all 4 of us loved it! Our server was on top of things and we just overall had a good time. As we were walking out, we could hear the live music on the patio. I'd definitely go back again. Also noted that they have several gluten free options, which was great for my gluten free friend!

Update- Came back for Christmas and it was sooo cute and festive! 😍 Definitely recommend the Jingle and will be back next year for it! We were on the patio, but it is enclosed and heated and it was nice and cozy! Including pics of the atmosphere!

We loved the Jingle experience at Public! The food is always delicious and locally sourced and the atmosphere is so cozy! But the Jingle experience, particularly the specialty drink menu and decor made it even more fun and festive! Our server, Autumn, was awesome and helped make sure our food and drink were customized to our liking so that as could have the best experience possible. It was our 6th wedding anniversary date and it was such a wonderful experience!

Edit: I’m updating this review as Public reached out to us and not only apologized but credited back some of our meal and invited us to visit again. We were very surprised and impressed with their customer service handling the situation so quickly and trying to make it right. You don’t see that often these days so we are looking forward to trying them out a different time.

We were so disappointed with our visit. First, we tried to order cheese curds and bao buns and unfortunately they were out of both, so we just skipped the apps. We then ordered the brisket tacos and a teriyaki salmon dish. The brisket taco was nothing like photos we had seen online. It only had one slice of brisket, they were out of salsa & pickled vegetables (it’s listed as part of meal, we weren’t told they were also out of all of those things, we just didn’t get any)—it was unseasoned and cold, like it had been sitting for a while. We order brisket tacos often and were baffled at the portion size and the fact it was basically just a tortilla and slice of meat with some sprinkled cheese to make an $18 taco. The salmon was bland, but the portion size for the meal was at least good. The noodles were oddly pasty, it was supposed to be in a peanut sauce but again, maybe from sitting for a while—it was pasty and grainy. My husband has never not finished a meal out and he only had about half a bowl.

We ended up leaving and went somewhere else to finish our night. I wouldn’t recommend based off our food experience. Our waitress was friendly, but the food was really just not good and overpriced for what you got. We are fairly easy going and have never left a meal like that in our lives. Maybe we just hit it on a really off night—we aren’t sure what happened.

I was so pleasantly surprised to find such an amazing food spot in Wichita Kansas. What a hidden gem! The food here was fantastic! The service was incredible! I enjoyed one of the chef specials which was a seasonal summer salad made with crushed cucumbers, peanut dressing, cilantro, peanuts, and chili oil - delicious! I also enjoyed the brisket tacos, they blew my mind! And for dessert I tried the cheesecake with cherries🍒 🍒 -wow -super duper yummy.

I think it's a really charming touch to bring the bill in an old book. There were a lot of autographs in there! Very cool!

I think this place has a great relaxing atmosphere where you can enjoy a meal. Centrally located with parking all around.

Did not eat here, but was told food is great. I enjoyed the atmosphere. It was not crowded on a Tuesday night. However, they say outdoor concerts draw a big crowd. Bartender, Brad?, was very nice and attentive. Would return if I'm in the downtown area.

Food is delicious! Drinks are perfect! Service is superb! It’s always an easy YES PLEASE when asked if Public sounds good for a cocktail hang, dinner, or lunch. I’ve probably eaten the entire menu over the years and the specials are always a treat, but whatever you do, don’t pass up on the bao or the spicy cauliflower! I can go on and on about every dish I’ve had because I’ve yet to have something that doesn’t make my palate do the happy dance!

My wife and I stopped by for an early dinner. This place was amazing! The atmosphere was great, all of the employees were over the top great! Couldn’t have asked for a better waitress. I wish I remembered her name! We ordered the Curds as a starter. They were probably the best I’ve ever had. For the entree we both ordered the Tomahawk Pork chop and it was excellent as well. We were both happy we stopped by! I highly recommend this place!!!
