Service was nice and friendly, oysters was the best part our lunch. Both linguines tasted over cooked, no flavor, felt mushy and soupy disappointed in the main dishes but a good spot for a beer and oysters.

Staff was friendly and service was good. However, it took way too long to get our food because several of us got our food in a staggered fashion, all but 1 of us got our soup, which just needed ladling out of a pot, but the remainder of us waited 1 hour 15 minutes to get our food. Most of the food just was salads and soup and a few tacos which shouldn’t have taken that long. Them because my crab salad wasn’t plated right, half of it fell onto the table and was wasted. One of us actually decided to take it to go because of the extended wait. The waitress apologized but we were not offered any compensation. We will not be coming back here

Stopped in Placerville for lunch and found this gem. Lovely welcoming atmosphere and amazing clams! We sat at the bar and engaged in conversation with a few of the regulars. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their menu!

Great experience with great food. We arrived at the tail end of the live music but even that was great. We went on Taco Tuesday and i highly recommend the shrimp tacos. Definitely a place i will be returning to.

Sometimes the senior citizen swing dance club meets here. Sometimes Joe might be playing or singing. Sometimes feet are tapping to the rhythm of the live band. Powell's is the place to eat platters of oysters because why order half a dozen when the whole platter is a better deal? Of course, it's mandatory to have beer or wine to gulp down in the same movement that you gulp down the oysters. Crab sandwich really needed more "oomph" to it- maybe lettuce or tomatoes or side garnish or toasting? Nothing worse than thinking that you too could have cut a piece of bread and dumped crab meat onto it with a side of Thousand Island.
