Each of our meals was excellent. The French fries are among the best I have ever tasted. We had burgers, fish and chips, and a caprese salad. The fish was well cooked. The burgers were cooked to order.

On this Friday night, the bar was packed. The restaurant was merely busy.

The service was outstanding throughout our meal but faltered when it came time for the check. It took quite a while before we received the bill and even longer for the server to come back for it.

First time here, just passing through. Ate in the bar, not at the bar as it was full. If you are a small party of say 2 people they have a hard time seating you in the bar. All tables are large and they want to save them for large parties only. You can't sit at a large table. We were here on a Friday at 3pm for a quick bite to eat. OK I don't get this business model but whatever. Food was OK, small portion. Nice atmosphere though. Probably would not return based on seating.

Overland Restaurant - 1st time visit at Minden, NV. recommended by Holiday Inn Express mgmt.
The elk burger was good and tasty. Fresh.
The valley burger was good too.
The service was very slow, even though the restaurant was not that busy.
The atmosphere was BAD. This is a kind of sports bar/restaurant. We were sitting in the dinning section.
The dinners did not have to scream across the table to talk.
Other than these 2 inconveniences, the restaurant is good.
It deserves a 2nd chance.

I have loved this place for a while, but it seems like with the menu change the portions have gone down. I ordered the ahi salad and it looks nothing like the photos on the site and is missing components. My wife ordered the caprese salad and it came with a basil leaf, just the one. I'm hoping this is just an off day because this is not consistent with what I've gotten before

This is an old brick building that has a lot of charm and style. The food is fantastic and the people are warm and inviting. You can stop in and have a drink at the old bar. I have a wonderful meal. Bottomless mimosas are served on the weekends. Try the burgers. They are so yummy and cooked to perfection.

This really is one of the nicest places in town that you can get a really tasty Picon Punch but a delicious meal as well and in an awesome historic building that's full of charm. The atmosphere here is lively and fun and I really like that they essentially have two bars that are on opposite sides of a wall and with one that has gaming available and the other side not. The later is where we like to imbibe and dine with friends but of course, there are tables available as well as outdoor seating for those lovely summer days. All the food here is great but on our last visit, my wife got the chipotle chicken pasta which was awesome and I can say as much because I kept snacking off her dish and I had the beer battered fish tacos which were amazing as well. I should note that the Overland does have a happy hour from 3-6 pm and they also offer drink specials and small plates during that time. Plenty of free parking is available around back and you can enter the restaurant from there as well. While this is a place that's perfect for a night out with your significant other, it's also great to come with a group of friends as well and I would highly recommend it.

We did an online order to celebrate a birthday, our first time eating here. It was delicious!! The cheese curds are AMAZING and our order was correct, ready on time, and perfectly packaged for pickup. We'll definitely be back for my birthday next month!
