Mediacom buried our cable so shallow that we found it 2ā€ deep while digging a trench for drainage. In other areas, the rain has washed the dirt covering it away. I have called them twice about it and all I get is that the ticket is still open. This is a safety hazard.

This review is mostly about our Mediacom technician, Mark, that came out 5/24/25, to our community pool house in Bethany Beach. He was amazing. He was patient, knowledgeable, friendly, kept me informed the entire time, offered me some great suggestions, and he did not rush, even though he had other jobs he still had to get to. Mark showed true appreciation to his fellow employees who assisted him, in trouble shooting, via the phone. I asked Mark if he likes working at Mediacom, and he said it was a great company to work for, with great employees. Mark was able to resolve the issue we had. Please recognize him. Mediacom came out quickly, even though it was Memorial Weekend. That was amazing too.

Technician never identified himself other than wearing a shirt with a Mediacom logo on it. He installed a new modem & Erro device. Anything in the house that was connected to my internet was down after he finished. He never asked or attempted to reset any devices. I still have one item down. My connection is still SLOW.

We called Media.com because our bill had slowly been increased to over $400. They adjusted our bill which we appreciate. However, they ordered new boxes for us that won’t be delivered for a few days. They disconnected all of our boxes without even telling us. Now we have no access to TV. Absolutely ridiculous. They are the worst.

Media.com actually responded to my review and our TV's are now up and running. Thank you to TERESA from Florida. She is the representative that spent 90 minutes trouble shooting the problems and fixing our cable. We appreciate it!

Finally I can say goodbye and good riddance! Too bad I can’t give a 0 review. This has been the worst internet service! With other providers finally coming to the area at a lower cost with a guarantee that the cost will not go up….of course it’s a no brainer to switch! this has been such a relief! I work from home and lost wages due to Mediacoms shoddy service or no service. When you call in it’s always my equipment or the wires are cut. šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø

Extremely dissatisfied!
No internet - my line was (probably) cut by a contractor installing new services to my neighbor’s home. I explained to Mediacom that I am an ā€œOn Call Supervisorā€ with the local electric supplier.
The best they can do is send someone out three days from now!
Several of my neighbors in Golf Village have been complaining relentlessly about the poor service from Mediacom.
Seems to fall on deaf ears.

Mediacom has had the monopoly on internet services in my area as far back as I can remember. Their prices have continued to increase while their service has always been halfway worthless. But without any other options, everyone pays their ridiculous prices and puts up with their unbelievably slow service and the overwhelming number of near constant outages that they are ALWAYS experiencing. Here I am continuing to pay for another day that they are ā€œexperiencing outagesā€ literally from sun-up to sun-down. I mean it, the internet has been unavailable from early this morning until an ā€œestimatedā€ 6:00pm! And that’s an ā€œestimatedā€ 6:00pm, which really means that if they restore service tonight at all it won’t be until 10:00-11:00pm based on prior experience with them. I hope they understand that the people of this area are SICK of Mediacom and their monopoly of the area where the price always increases while they continue to offer the same garbage service as always. The second that our area has another decent option for services, Mediacom should be prepared to lose 99% of their customers in this area practically overnight. If I could give them a NEGATIVE five stars, I most certainly would, but since one star is the lowest rating I can give them, it will have to do. The happiest day of my adult life will be the day Mediacom goes out of business in Southern Delaware!

If I could give zero stars I would. This is the worst internet service I’ve ever had. Constant service interruptions. They have a chokehold on my area so I can’t sign up with a different carrier. They don’t have the bandwidth to support a vacation zone like this in the summer so every time the area gets crowded with tourists the internet goes down. The cost is ridiculously high for this kind of service.

Zero communication! Terrible customer service. Gives you a window and says "they will call and then text" GOT NOT ONE DANG CALL OR TEXT!!! Called to get an update and agent tells me they havent even been to my house. The tech just left. Not helpful in ANY way to set it up. I would rather go back to AOL dial up then deal with this company. They dont care about their customers only the almighty dollar. Greedy and shameful. You know what they say about karma.....Oh and them saying they will be back in a couple of weeks to bury the line is a straight up lie. Have had the line in my yard for over a year

I will start by saying this is the first 1 star review I have ever left. I don’t enjoy rating companies so low but I feel the need to warn people so they don’t get into a bind by this company like I was. I’ll save you the details of what has been one of the worst experiences I have had with a company. It takes a lot to make me frustrated and mad but after being lied to and taken through the wringer by this company, we quickly ended ā€œservicesā€ with them. If you’re told this is your only internet option, it’s not. Do yourself a favor and do some research and get yourself a company that will actually deliver what they promise.

The only positive I have from this experience was the woman at the front desk who was very sweet and helpful. Also Keith who was the actual service tech who did everything he could to help us get internet.

Look elsewhere for internet.

I just got thru calling Mediacom to speak to someone about my bill and the representative kept playing on the phone acting like she couldn't hear me. Thats ok because I'll be calling starlink to discuss service options and when mediacom calls me about a bill I'll be having trouble hearing them as well
