Madison communications, while they do have decent internet service, severely lacks in customer service. Due to a death in The family as well as illnesses my husband ended up missing almost 3 weeks of work collectively and we got behind on our bill. February 10th we set up a payment agreement to pay $100 every Friday and not one time were we told that it had to be paid by a specific time or else we would have made sure it was paid by said time. Fast forward to today February 21st, I get on to pay our bill online and had nothing but issues, and after the third time getting an error processing payment message, I let my husband know that I couldn't get the payment to go through and he said he would take care of it on his lunch break. 10:45 a.m. We have no internet. So we call Madison communications and they said that the payment wasn't paid by 10:00 a.m. so they disconnected us and that we would have to pay almost $500 to get it reconnected. After letting them know that we were never told that the payment had to be paid by 10:00 a.m. We were told that they had sent out an email to us, which by the way we never received, stating that we had started a payment agreement and that we had to pay it by 10:00 a.m. etc so I told them that we never received an email and all I got back was ignorant responses. I told them it's not like I didn't have the money to pay the bill I had it right then and there and I was even willing to give them my debit card number so they could run it and take the payment considering we were only 45 minutes past when it was supposedly due, and they refused to take my debit card number and said that they had told us that we had to pay it by 10:00 a.m. and that they had sent out an email saying that we were starting a payment agreement and that we had to have it paid by 10:00 a.m., which again we never received and they said that they wouldn't reconnect us. Fact of the matter is if someone would have told us on the phone that day that we had to pay it by 10:00 a.m. we would have gladly paid it by then no questions asked but we were never told to pay it by a specific time and when I asked to speak to one of the managers I was told that it had already been escalated and that they had already spoken to a manager and I'm like well I would like to speak to a manager so I got a phone call back from the manager who was very rude and had said that they could pull the phone call but when I told him to go ahead and pull the phone call So he could listen to what was said he immediately went to well I have notes here from several people saying that you were well aware of the payment agreement stipulations and that it had to be paid by 10:00 a.m. and I responded no we didn't know that we had to have it paid by 10:00 a.m. because no one ever told us that and if it was in that email well we never got an email so how could we know I even offered to send screenshots of my email so they could see that we never received an email and every time I offered to provide evidence showing that we never received an email or even when I said go ahead and pull that conversation from February 10th that way you can hear what was said there was always an excuse or it was while I have to agree with so-and-so I'm like okay we'll just go with another internet provider. Their customer service absolutely sucks and God forbid you're 40 minutes late paying your internet bill, even though you didn't know that you were late paying it at all especially since You were paying it on the day you agreed to pay it but whatever. I wouldn't give them another dime, even if they were the only internet providers in the area! Oh not to mention beware of mysterious charges on your account every month that no one can seem to explain!

We have lived in the area for 8 years and have had 3 internet providers. Madison has provided services for about 3 years and the only reason we are changing is because we are moving. I’m so sad and disappointed to have to go to another provider. This company is great on customer service, internet services, and helping with problems. An anomaly in today’s society in trying to make and keep customers happy and always doing the right thing. Thank you.

Madison is consistently the best internet in our area. I love their Secure IT subscription for my anti virus. No effort on my part when there is an issue with my computer other than the steps for them to log in to fix the issue. The employees at the main office are always willing to help resolve any issues or explain services. I need reliable internet for work, Madison delivers!
