Ashley is the most fantastic bar tender. She was extremely attentive and accommodating to our requests. Ashley went the extra mile to make sure we had the best possible experience for our first time at MadDogs. Never once did my water or drink run dry. The fish and chips was excellent and the tartar sauce was the best I have ever had. I definitely will be back when I’m at the river walk next!

What a super fun time. We took two teenage girls after a show at the majestic and the live music was a blast. Our wait staff were so sweet and helpful. We had scotch eggs and fish n chips and the burgers. Everyone loved their food. The decor was on point and the food came out in quickly. Just an overall wonderful experience!!!

Plenty of TVs, great pub atmosphere, and great seating along the Riverwalk. Staff were great, appropriately attentive, and friendly. Although I did hear them complaining about someone's tip (maybe justified). The food came quickly and everything was reasonably priced. Most of all, I enjoy the decor. It felt much like a pub should. It would have been great if they had played a bit more Irish music rather than club style music. Once the live music started, that was much better. If you're looking to sit down and have great pub style, food and a great atmosphere, this is your place.

The fried shrimp was playing the chicken. Fingers were plain as well but the french fries were crispy and well seasoned with salt. They don't have sweet tea but you can get honey for a sweetener. Also was very noisy once. They cut the football game on ridiculously loud.

Love this place ! they have daily drink specials, we normally stop by for beers and Margaritas but their food is pretty decent for being a bar, specially their star plate, the batter fish, great portion (chunk fillet ). Place is in the middle of the action at the Riverwalk. One thing I noticed and for me is remarkable; specially @ Riverwalk, their restrooms are always super clean and spacious, which is really rare at that area.

The place was great, and the drinks were amazing. The live music was a highlight—San Antonio has an impressive live music scene, and the performers were incredibly talented. Unfortunately, the experience was dampened by an incident with the manager on Thursday night. My server and I were having a wonderful conversation about life, but the manager threatened to fire her for talking with me. It really ruined the vibe and left a bad impression. While the rest of the staff were helpful, I don’t think I’ll be returning in the future because of how poorly that situation was handled.

9/8/2024 We have stopped here a few times before while in San Antinio. But this is the first time with our new puppy. We expected to sit our side, which it was beautiful evening. Our server was Esteban S. Amazing service, recommendation and patient. We split the Fish and Chips which for use was good portion, Esteban S had go back and forth for the beer situation, which for some it would frustrate due to the fact he had to go up and downstairs. Not him still had a smile and gave tentative service! So impressed we came back the next day.
9/9/2024 The second time it was around lunch time just for drinks, We did sit inside with our puppy in a stroller, it was really warm outside. Wimpy baby puppy. Our bartender was Ashley she gave great service and again smiles and personable! After we left, we decided to have dinner here.
Ashley was getting close to leaving but had stock to finish. Our bartender was Crystal, again she did not disappoint! I ordered the Cobb salad, Husband ordered Classic B.L.T. The Cobb salad was delicious, chicken tender, dressing amazing the salad itself was filling. Husband really enjoyed the Classic B.L.T, bacon was cooked to satisfaction which is a hit and miss. We both had a great last evening, and yes we could have tried other places, but why be disappointed.

We went here to listen to my good friend, Jason Brown, perform and was surprised by the food and atmosphere. The service did start off a little slow when we first got there, but greatly improved after we got out order taken. We ordered the Scottish Eggs and Ragin' Cajun Salad 2x. We also got a dirty and cucumber martini, and 3 orders of the wheat mango beer. All perfect and we will definitely go back!
