Received a letter they can't provide Aid because They said "A conflict of interest arises when They receive confidential information from a party that could be used against him/her if they choose to undertake representation directly adverse to that party's interest." I just needed advice about filling out child support paperwork, Waste of my time.

Years ago I came to LSSM for legal council and was told and found they, at that time, only handled a certain type of divorce proceeding and child custody cases. It appeared to me they were only in the business of taking on female clients who were in bad situations. I was declined services as a single male who required other types of legal advice and assistance my needs didn't fit their mission tho. It was the only place in town I could turn to for help, I was at an extremely low point in my life and crushed by this news, so I sat in the lobby with a pencil and piece of paper balling and writing my story which took time, it was difficult and I was somewhat frazzled and run on but completely honest and showed I was at the end of a very long process of trying to find help/advice/direction/knowledge etc.. I had been to every other nonprofit and paid lawyer in town. I asked if they would allow me to submit my plea to the board of directors and they allowed me, ultimately accepting my case (they now work with a larger variety of cases, yet still are limited by funding, but they did assist me. For this I was greatful.).
Prompt informative very helpful professional and understanding.

I will soon die as a result of an out of this world scenario I am currently going through. There doesn't appear to be a "Privacy Advocate" anywhere. As large and cosmopolitan as we'd like to think we are here on the buckle, there's something seemingly too big for anyone to handle or even believe. A Privacy Advocate is going to be the next big thing once the people completely wake up to what's going on in America today.

I received legal services through LSSM a bit of time ago. I can't remember how long ago due to memory loss. But it was for an eviction settlement case with an old landlord. I will say the process was involved just like receiving any public aid but they got the job done. Loved my lawyer, was a very sweet lady. Hopefully I will return looking for law help again soon.

THEY DO NOT REPRESENT THE POOR, DISABLED OR HOMELESS! THEY PICK AND CHOOSE THEIR APPLICANTS BY LIKE OR DISLIKE! AND THEY LIE, IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW MANY TIMES YOU APPLY AND THERE IS FUNDING, BUT THEIR DENIAL LETTERS SAY THERE IS NONE. I'VE APPLIED 6 TIMES, TRUST ME YOU'RE WASTING YOUR TIME. I'M DISABLED AND HAVE BEEN HOMELESS FOR 4 1/2 MONTHS AND JUST RECEIVED MY 6TH DENIAL LETTER 2 DAYS AGO. DEFINITELY DON'T TRUST ROBERT ASPERGER OR JERALD, THEY BOTH LIED TO ME. ON A SCALE FROM 1 - 5 THEY ARE A 0. LEGAL SERVICES IS A PUBLIC FACILITY, "BUT YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED IN WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT" WHATS WRONG WITH THAT STATEMENT!!!!!
I knew Asperger when he was a green horn starting out as an Assisstant Prosecutor, believing in Justice. Not anymore, like all the other Attorney's at Legal Services he believes in more pay, less work and getting away with it. There us power in numbers, always has been, always will be. I'M JUST 1 PERSON! There is a saying, "Rome wasn't built in a day", it wasn't built by 1 person either.

The lawyer that took my case was absolutely amazing! She explained what was expected of me. I was very impressed with her negotiating skills as well. She helped me out tremendously!

Well 1st of all, I applied online & was declined. Then Harmony House got me an appointment w/a legal aid employee & I'm still waiting to hear if they will take on my much needed case. They said w/the holidays, it would be about 3 weeks. Cannot afford an attorney. So there you have it, poor people have nothing to fight for. Pray they help me. 🙏

I have desperately needed help and even gotten partner referrals, but have been denied numerous times. In the past this has also happened everytime anyone I know has ever needed legal help. This time, the lives of three children are on the line and still nobody will give us the time of day.
