We are so grateful for Sara and her team's extraordinary service to the residents of Skyline at Highlands when they hosted a resident happy hour for us last week. The warmth and hospitality provided by the staff at JPP make this a wonderful neighborhood gathering place.

The staff here is great every time. The owner is from Iowa, and this is my favorite hawkeye bar in the city. A nice neighborhood spot for watching football, but even by night it’s super cozy and a great place to hang out. They also have infused vodka and tequila which makes for a good mule!

Great neighborhood pub. I'm in Highland, it's worth the 12 minute walk. The atmosphere is great, lively but not overwhelming in alvolume by any means. Good mix of folks in late 20s and beyond.

Came here around 9 pm on a regular summer Saturday night. There was live music and a lively crowd already a drink deep in the cozy place.

The crowd was mostly older 20s/young 30s being well mannered and sociable. The drink list was solid, I got a jalapeno mule ($8) which hit the spot.

The ambiance was welcoming. Not a dive bar, not too upscale, with good low lighting, brick, and four TVs playing muted sports. There is a small outdoor area as well.

Highly recommend for solo or friends out for social hour.

The lady bartender who was working there recommended the summer drink which I'm glad she did. It was amazing!!! She even put a 4 leaf clover on my friend's Guinness!!
