I’m new to town and a quilter: Fabulous shop! Over the top excellent high quality selection!!! Obviously independent and 100%real with very nice staff! Great shop, wonderful selections, including fabric lines and patterns from local designers, friendly and knowledgeable staff! Plus, there are great bargains in their upcycle collection of patterns and fabric . A must for all sewists and quilters.

Suzanne and her staff were very accommodating to me... there is a major construction project going on almost in front of their store and store traffic is down, so they are only open for the weekend. However, they are there and do open for appointments. I just rang their doorbell and they let me shop to my heart's content, which I appreciated. They have their own beautiful fabric line, and a Featherweight section, too. You can bet I found some wonderful fabric for my trip project! Very thankful for the welcoming group here!

I love this place! They have a great selection of fabric and notions, as well as a really cool ReCreate section where they buy and sell pre-owned fabric. It's so awesome! And the staff there are super friendly. They always help me out whenever I have questions about a project I'm working on.

If you're looking for a sign to give this place a visit, here it is!

This week was my first time visiting both ABQ and New Mexico, and I am truly thankful to have stumbled into Hip Stitch and met the kindest people. Not only did I stumble in during a special time when they had a guest musician from the Philharmonic playing the violin/viola, but I was so lucky to have struck up a conversation with both Suzanne and Elizabeth, who were incredibly warm and friendly and just the greatest.

The store is beautifully organized and well stocked with the most fantastic fabrics and items, and as someone who has zero contact with this facet of art and life, I still wanted to buy everything!

All in all - I just wanted to say thank you to Suzanne and Elizabeth for sharing such a lovely moment with me. I really did feel so welcomed and seen - y'all really showed me the heart of ABQ and NM!!
