Freeman Electric installed a very large free standing sign for us 2 years ago. we recently had a bulb(s) go out so i asked our office manager to call and have them come replace it, Knowing it was gonna be more expensive than doing it ourselves, but because i am a loyal to local businesses and needed it done i did not mind paying a little more for them to do it. Who ever answered the phone quoted us $185 a hour labor plus materials. As i thought that was gonna be a little expensive just to change a bulb, i accepted it and said to go ahead. They came the next day and did the repairs, and had to replace a couple additional parts. They never approached us about the additional costs before doing the work. Not the best business practices but i accepted that. They were at our business for just UNDER ONE HOUR. which i felt was a reasonable amount of time to do what was needed. Everything worked as it should after that. The next day someone from the business came by to collect for the repair, unusual but, still i was ok with that. when looking at the invoice they decided to charge us a additional hour labor, 2 hours total at $185 for no apparent reason. After questioning the bill we were told that they had a 2 hour minimum for any job. THIS WAS NEVER STATED WHEN WE INITIALLY CALLED. So now i had to pay a bill of over $500 to have a couple of bulbs replaced. I spent well over $8000.00 for this sign 2 years ago, and this is how they take care of their existing customers? I am deeply upset that they would treat any customer like this but none the less someone who has spent this large of amount of money with them. Even worse we had plans to use them to do Another very large sign for another location after the first of the year. I will not be using this company in the future.

I called Freedom Electric Sign Company and one of the owners named Mike came out that same day and was very knowledgeable and professional. Mike gave me all the information I needed to do an electric sign out by the road and a large storefront sign above our entry door. This is a very fair and honest company I highly recommend using them.
