Dope Magic is the Real Deal

Where do I even begin? Joelle and her team at Dope Magic have completely transformed my brand, my business, and how I show up online. As a photographer and creative, it’s not always easy to tell your own story or build something that really feels like you—but that’s exactly what Joelle did.

They took the heart of who I am and turned it into a stunning, cohesive brand and website that perfectly reflects my work, my values, and my vibe. The design is beautiful, but it’s so much more than just pretty—it’s strategic, smart, and it sells. Since launching the site, I’ve seen a noticeable jump in inquiries, bookings, and genuine connections with clients who already feel aligned with me before we even speak.

Dear fellow estheticians-

Before you make an investment, please consider my experience.

The marketing for Dope Magic is quite misleading. They claim to help aestheticians earn over thousands of dollars a month after collaboration. Joelle will suggest offering a discount during your site launch, which may lead to high initial sales. So while you might hit thousands of dollars in the first month, it’s primarily due to the discount, not the effectiveness of the site Joelle provides. I’ve spoken with others who worked with Joelle, and many found that their best month, thanks to discounts, was followed by returns to their pre-collaboration sales figures.

After researching, I found more affordable website designers who can deliver your product more quickly than Joelle did. I recognize her business is expanding, which can lead to challenges, but the process can be lengthy and costly.

Please do not go into this investment thinking that you will magically start making thousands and thousands of dollars a month. I feel like I was extremely misled and so I am just warning others because it is a very large investment.

Also disappointed that instead of replying to my email where I stated my concerns (or replying to this review) Joelle decided to take to her instagram stories to address this issue. Extremely disappointed in customer care.

Hiring Joelle/Dope Magic Co resulted in a $1600+ loss. Joelle did not have the knowledge to complete certain tasks and chose not to provide me a full refund because she "already paid her employee & spent a lot of time researching." As a small business owner myself, I would never charge a client if I needed to research how to execute a task or for services that were never delivered. I decided to end my contract with her to protect my business from further loss. I hired another company who explained to me Shopify is plug + play and I do not need an entire rebuild to complete the task I want done. Which Joelle quoted me $7,000 for.
