I debated leaving a comment until I noticed that most of their reviews were old. I agree. CFM used to be great, and I used to recommend them, but not anymore. CFM built my website over six (6) years ago and has maintained it via a monthly maintenance fee since then. When I discovered that my site was down for over a month, I contacted CFM. To my surprise and horror, they had no clue it was down (despite the monthly fee to maintain the site).

About two days later, I got a notice telling me my fee would increase by 1,000%, yes, 1,000% a month. So, I pulled out my initial contract and canceled the monthly maintenance according to our agreement. From there, they were to send me a copy of my site. I had just paid my usual fee, so they had plenty of time to send the copy and close my account before the extortion fee kicked in. However, instead, they held the copy hostage, wanting me to pay at least one month at the 1,000% markup price. I refused, so they got their lawyers involved. Their lawyers told me to pay up or go away.

I paid them in good faith for six years to maintain my site. When I finally needed maintenance, they raised my rate instead of honoring our contract and tried to intimidate me with their attorneys. I don’t know what happened to the great company I hired six years ago, but I can no longer recommend them. There are many web companies out there that still believe in ethics and customer service, so I’d recommend going elsewhere.

Haley was the one I met with initially who helped me understand what they would do with my website, and how it would lead to people actually converting into customers, not just people visiting my website.
