Another spot after a day of baseball. We have heard so many good things about this place. We ordered the following:

Steak Sandwich - ordered by my sons, they liked the sandwich and mentioned it was cooked correctly (med rare)

Ribeye - this dish came with baked potato, asparagus. My wife ordered this medium rare. It also came with a side salad. Everything was good, except the steak was way over cooked. My wife told waitress to send back. They brought back another one and it too wasn’t cooked correctly. At the we had it removed from the check.

Blackened Halibut - overall good dish. It came with rice pilaf and asparagus. Only complaint is the halibut was a bit overcooked.

This place has a great charm and the staff is super nice. Will definitely try it again.

I was interested in eating here. However, the cocky attitude in some of the reviews when having a Trump flag out front was mentioned, it’s clear that he or she just wants to rile people up. Newsflash, how about them grocery prices that Trump promised would go down on day one of his term? The lack of common sense by so many small town folks is both hilarious and disgusting at the same time. A restaurant should not be putting any political flags, etc. anywhere on its premises. You should want people from all walks of life to support your establishment.

I stopped by here on one of my first visits to Dixon. I really was craving biscuits and gravy. I love these types of restaurants wherever I go in California, so I suppose my rating is a bit biased. It took me a minute to get seated, as it was busy, and there's a bar connected to the dining room.

The food was very classic, everything was cooked well, biscuits were not too dry or the gravy too runny, which is something to watch out for!!

Overall a very good experience, and I would recommend it to locals and travellers alike.

I had the steak sandwich cooked to “medium” as you can see in the picture it was over cooked. Served on a garlic bun with no other toppings so it was really dry. The same experience my friend had as well. He got the prime rib sandwich which was just a slab of meat on bread. Disappointing but the service was nice everyone was friendly. Most likely won’t get food there again

Great little neighborhood bar. We stopped in after the high-school graduation. Service was great, cold beer, and a super bourbon selection. Fried zucchini was tasty. 5 stars from me. Well done Bud.

The dining room was very dark.
The food was very good. I had the roast beef sandwich, Richard's way with onion rings.
The service and wait time was slow and unimpressive except for the coffee and water refills.

It really depends on what day you go and dine. Friday today we went to get lunch. The food was greasy and the fries tasted stale. I still haven't figured out which day has the best conscientious cook. I know that I have had good meals here. The last 3 times the food was not good. We are foodies and enjoy when we get together and dine out. Buds has lost its touch. Good luck.
