Lovely library. As a Manhattanite I ventured here to collect a limited edition library. I enjoyed the history of the building and learnt a lot in the hour and a half I spent there. There’s loads of information on classes and help and other functions going on here. The amazing FRANKIE - head librarian was a delight to met. A powerhouse that not only has extensive knowledge of her job but loves every aspect of it. She gave me a sticker booklet (I’m 47!) which has space for all Brooklyn libraries. You ask each library for their sticker when you go. I loved that she didn’t assume because I’m older that it would not be of interest. She carries a certain air to her that keeps patrons in check. The space is calm even when people come in to make use of the air condition. It was quiet except for some low level influencer talking a phone call at closing Great place to study. There’s an area to charge electronics which isn’t very large but keeps the keyboard warriors to one area. Not ideal but for those of use that prefer peace this works well. Lots of classes which I in certain areas. Play area for toddlers down stairs in a room. I will definitely go back. 11 minute walk from the subway.

Great staff, small but peaceful space to focus. And there’s a charm to the building itself with its symmetrical wooden interior architecture. A good range of facilities to handle essential tasks as well. Situated in a quiet neighbourhood, beautiful.

Love it, the staff, the peace, they have a children's section and a teen section. It's just really good all around

This library is always so organized!
I lived a block away from here growing up and the changes I’ve seen have been impressive.
The library has always maintained its clean structure outside and I love how tentative the people that work there are. I also enjoy that fact that you can know check out your own books, pay with card and it just makes everything so much easier.

Most favorite place to go during the summer and after school during my childhood. Massive basement in bathroom was definitely giving creepy vibes when going alone. I used to love sitting on the benches next to the former fireplace on right side of the top floor be they became restricted
