I had been asking my partner to look at date options that include art of some type. We have gotten into a rut of going to the conservatory and the art museum- our faves, but I needed a change.

He wrote an article about this and other similar type studios in the area so we decided to try it out.
They had rugs we could customize for our summer trip and I thought that would be cool!

We both had a lot of fun making these and I love how they turned out! He is going to give the one he made to our daughter -for our trip -as her bday is this weekend :).

This was out of his comfort zone so I am thrilled he had a blast! It didn’t hurt that they had wine (4$)

We had more fun then we expected and loved how they turned out and the owners/staff were friendly and fun to interact with…. Thank you!

Also, there was another woman making a rug and we were talking and she mentioned she does this for all her family and friends for big events… so cool!! They do more then just rugs.. board signs and more.. check them out!

This place uniquely blends socializing, craftsmanship, and art together into an experience with a product to show for it. We visited the Saturday after Thanksgiving 2020. Masks were required, each table had hand sanitizer, they used disposable gloves and aprons, had plenty of hand washing stations, and limited class sizes to meet COVID standards. Inside the studio, the work tables were well-spread out to allow for social distancing even inside the room. They build the structure, provide one of hundreds of available stencils, and give you advice/guidance along the way. No experience with woodworking? No worries! Mary Beth and the staff will explain your project step by step, give you color recommendations, and will even tell you when the paint has dried! Super experienced artist? Customize your work to meet the vision cast in your mind. You and your party have supplies at your work table, and the staff provides step-specific tools as the step is reached. The general process: start with sanding, add some custom distressing to your project, pick your stain, add a white or gray wash to your project, begin stenciling/painting, then let dry! Small projects will take 1.5-2 hours, and more complex projects will extend to the 4 hour mark. For my wife and I, we did one of each: a light project, a moderate, and I did a multilayer stencil. Thanks to the guidance from the staff, we left with three beautiful projects. We used this as a “day date” after a week of thanksgiving festivities. I’d say this place is perfect for couples, friend groups, or even the budding artist who lacks the tools to get a vision on canvas.

The products themselves are outstanding! They have an enormous selection of designs to choose from and the studio is set up very nicely. I only gave 4 stars because the night I went it seemed to be full of return customers and my group didn’t get much direction/had to ask for instruction every step of the way. The staff was very friendly and were more than willing but we shouldn’t have had to keep asking.

Tameryn and Grace are amazing! They're so much fun, so helpful and make an awesome experience even better! Today, we had Jessie and she was great! Jessie was so helpful and patient to my 5 and 10 year old. This place has become a monthly visit, which I love. You get to make a project from start to finish. The stencil options are so neat and different. They have so many things to choose from. Every time I go, it's something different. I've never been disappointed in a thing here. I've been with friends, work friends, family and as of today, my little kids. It's just a fun spot all around. If you haven't been, you're missing out!
