We stopped in here to grab a drink or two and ended up staying much later than planned. Great vibe and good fun, Marty who was behind the bar was awesome and made us feel very welcome. When we are back in San Fran we will make sure to come back!

What a fantastic little bar. The owner buys only the finest beers & ciders from Costco and let's them chill in a grand old bathtub behind the bar. The smell of the place is fantastic and sitting shoulder to shoulder with other locals only enhances the brilliantly authentic and niche experience. Thus place is no joke and the owner is even a great musician.. ( would recommend a rendition of suspicious minds )

I have traveled to this place twice now from UK and would recommend to anyone looking to have a great night.

Randomly found this bar on Google map. It has no cocktail (only beer). When we got there it was full but it didn’t matter. This turned out to be one of the most AMAZING experience we had in the city. The owner, James, was funny and with great hospitality and talent (he plays guitar and sings). Cozy, nice, little warm bar. I am so glad I made a visit there and will definitely go back during my next visit.

I'm sure the locals who love this bar want to keep it a secret but I apologize, I can't say it enough... This is hands down one of THE best bars in SF. It has about ten seats and that is IT, only standing shoulder to shoulder room after that so prepare to get familiar with your fellow patrons. The owner of the pub and his staff are some of the most welcoming and fun people I've had the pleasure of meeting and I am remis that I didn't make it back again before I left the city. Thank you, Black Horse and friends for your hospitality! ❤️

Nice and small pub. The mood is very familiar and friendly, the prices are normal (or maybe a bit lower) like the normal in San Francisco. They have German beers too. Go in, drink a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale or a König Pilsener and enjoy the guitar solo of the boss! Cheers! ?

This is a small hole-in-the wall of a pub with space only the length of the bar's counter. The menu consists of a small selection of reasonably priced cans/bottles of beers, cider, and hard seltzer. The bar was staffed by Zakry and the proprietor, James King. They facilitate one of the most welcoming and friendly bar atmospheres I have been in, taking an interest in each and every patron.

This place is a whole in the wall... it would be fun if it was crowded but disappointing when few guests... thisvisvthe smallest bar in San Fran..
