AMC Lake Square 12: A Decent Spot for a Movie Night or Trip with the kids.

AMC Lake Square 12 in Florida is a solid choice if you’re looking for a casual movie night. While it doesn’t scream luxury, it delivers the essentials for an enjoyable theater experience.

The theater is clean and functional, with a straightforward layout that makes it easy to navigate. The reclining seats are a nice touch—they’re comfortable enough for a long movie, though they could use a little sprucing up to feel truly premium.

The picture and sound quality were good, but not extraordinary. It gets the job done for your typical blockbuster, but if you’re looking for cutting-edge visuals or booming surround sound, it might not fully blow you away.

The concessions stand offers the usual suspects—popcorn, soda, and candy—but don’t expect anything out of the ordinary. The staff was friendly and efficient, which helped keep the experience smooth.

Overall, AMC Lake Square 12 is a decent theater for catching a movie without breaking the bank. It may not wow you, but it’s a reliable spot for a laid-back night out. If you’re in the area and need your movie fix, it’s worth a visit.

went and payed for 2 3d tickets for the transformers one movie today. got to the movie theatre, sat down and realized about 15 minutes into the movie that something was wrong. the 3d effect that these movies usually have was not in effect, we went to talk to the associates and we asked if they just forgot to put the polarizing lens on the movie, and they did. they said that they COULD get their manager but they “didnt want to bother her”? what is the point of paying for 3D if youre not going to provide the experience?! poorly managed and poor service quality, really disappointing. photo below was taken with the lens on, clearly no difference other than the lighting.

The GENERAL MANAGER MALINA/ MOLINA…. I think she’s just a AMC corporate Robot (but not a well running machine type of robot more like needs WD40 and a few parts, maybe a heart and a brain)

She didn’t care that me, my 3 year old and wife were distressed and I wanted the money back for the poor experience. I did not want to have to remove my 3 year old to receive the refund and didn’t think I would have had to. But malina made sure to let me know we must leave in order to receive the refund (like back on my card) or I can stay and she can give me “passes”

I decide I don’t want passes but a full refund. After pulling my family out of the theatre, I go to do the refund ( with a different manager the GM assigned) for them to tell me they can’t refund my money if I used Apple Pay or google pay… and they still give me a gift card… let’s just say… she made a bad day worse.

After reading more reviews from this experience. I would definitely advise you to search for a theatre that genuinely will care if you have a problem. Because if something happens to you at this location. They will give you the run around and essentially just make whatever problem you’re having … worse. Pretty sure the GM also stresses the employees out based on how their behavior around her was.

I rarely come to this AMC anymore because every time I do it’s a terrible experience. The staff don’t care if patrons are disrespectful to other moviegoers, and refuse to respond to complaints. I gave up on trying awhile ago but I did watch two different families demand refunds because the theater we were in was so loud with talking and kids screaming. The employee’s response? “Oh, ya we got a lot of complaints about theater ##.”

So if you like to watch movies surrounded by chaos, this is the theater for you.

We caught the 7:30pm showing Nosferatu movie on Tuesday night. The main area concession was closed ;they were having a temporary issue taking any payments for merchandise. We were told we had to get any drink or snacks down on the other side. Okayy, so we walked down to the other half of the theatre and got in line for the concessions and were stopped abruptly by a girl asking to see our tickets. I explained the other station was down and we were just here for concessions. We approached the counter where a man and young women were working. There was no greeting of “Hello” or “Hi”. She stormed up to the counter and curtly informed that, “We’re only selling candy, popcorn, or drinks.” Me and my sister looked at each other briefly taken aback by her tone, “Our managers are doing inventory so yeah, no hot foods.” We ordered a medium popcorn and drink (a whopping $24 dollars!!) and she asked, “Cash or Card?” I indicated I was paying with a card. “Perfect! That’s my preferred method, insert your chip when you’re ready.” And stalked away. Popcorn was scooped out of a plastic bag, not even slightly warm or semi fresh. So happy that interaction was over, I went to the drink station. Were the same girl who asked for my ticket is closely watching the family standing near the machine as I walk up. I notice the machine to the left is missing the tray in the bottom where you would place the cup while it dispenses the ice and soda. She’s looking at me and I’m looking at her waiting for some clarification. When she doesn’t say anything I lead with,” Is this machine out of order?” She rolls her eyes and replies, “ You can try but it won’t dispense.” Okayyy. She follows with a snarky,” Yeah feel free to make drinks at the other station.” The dad from the family next to us was like…”They told us we couldn’t use that stand..?” She stares uncaringly,” Hmm, yeah, weird.” And walks away. All this to say bad vibes, staff that clearly didn’t want to be there and didn’t want us there more, dry ass popcorn, and to top it off, a shitty movie too. I wonder what else I could do on a weeknight with my $50 bucks.
