If I could do my wedding over White Shutter would be the first thing I booked. Aaron and Philan are so creative, easy going, and efficient. They work incredible together as a husband wife duo! They made us feel so comfortable, we felt like they were old friends from the moment we met. Aaron and Philan were great to work with! When planning our wedding, the top priority on our list was to have a great photographer. We got more than that with White Shutter Photography! This husband and wife team worked seamlessly together to make sure we got all of the shots that we wanted, while also catching those moments we hadn't even imagined! Before your wedding, Aaron and Philan will ask you to fill out an info sheet to help them determine what you really want them to focus on. For our wedding, we had done a ton of DIY and incorporated vintage pieces into the decor. They made sure that these items were highlighted throughout the images they captured. From the beginning to the very end of our long (and very hot!) day, they were by our side helping to move the day along, offering suggestions, and making sure we got a little bit of "us" time in when we needed it. Our wedding photos captured our day, our family and friends, and our love for each other perfectly. Because of White Shutter, we have these gorgeous reminders for the years to come. I cannot recommend White Shutter strongly enough - with their help our wedding really was picture perfect!

Looking for a local photographer who had experience shooting a same sex couple was no easy task. As a matter of fact, only one name came up. After visiting their website the first time, I knew I was looking at more than just pictures. I was looking at each person's heart and soul. So, after about five more visits, we decided that we had to meet with Aaron and Philan. Since that first meeting, Aaron has taken our engagement photos, our family photos and most recently Philan joined in to take our wedding photos. Let me start out my saying they were absolutley amazing!! We still talk about how great of a job they did! The entire wedding party loved working with them. They went way up and beyond what you could ever imagine. I will say as we were taking pictures, the groomsmen were like what is this guy thinking...haha!! And I will tell you those were the best pictures!! In fact I have a 24x36 of the picture, on my office wall, that we were questioning. Aaron is an amazing photographer, and trust me it is worth the extra money to have Philian with the second camera, and have them for the whole day!! You will be amazed by the pictures that they capture!! I have never raved about someone, or their services as much as I do about them and Whiteshutter!! They did an amazing job on our engagement pictures, our wedding pictures, and now we are going to have him to take our daughters 1 yr old pictures!

Perfect! Perfect! Perfect! Ted and I could not have been more thrilled with Aaron and Philan. They are true professionals with a special gift. They were pleasant, confident and energizing people to be around who have a knack for capturing the emotion in the moment - "the big picture and the little picture". From the evening we first skyped with Aaron a year ago, we knew we had chosen the right photographers for our wedding - We both felt relaxed as the big day came, knowing Aaron and Philan had it all under control - beyond just the photography - they were very familiar with the venue (Anderson Japanese Gardens), the coordinator and the event itself and stepped in to coach Ted and I on the 'details' of the day =) We would have been lost with out them! The few photographs we've seen so far are simply stunning - art at its finest. I imagine we will travel back to Rockford just to have them photograph other 'life events' as well. We highly recommend choosing White Shutter - they are simply amazing!
