I've been going on this boat for around 9 years. Forget what you know about "party boats". Going out with these guys is something entirely different. You are getting the treatment of a private charter for a fraction of the cost. You won't find a more knowledgeable crew on the entire NJ coast. Ignore the very few negative reviews, and trust the many stories of amazing times everyone had on board the Big Mohawk.

I chose the Big Mohawk from the reviews. I’m so glad I did. The crew guys were amazing. Very friendly and helpful. Tons of fish were caught. Plenty of keepers as well. The crew was always near when they were needed. The Captain knew exactly where to go to catch em. Will definitely be going on this boat again. I’ve tried so many different boats and usually done after the first time, but I found a keeper with THE BIG MOHAWK!!!!

Love this boat and crew! My friends and I decided to go fishing and we had a blast. First off the boat was clean. The mates know what they are doing and show you different techniques to give you an edge to catch fish. The captain is hands on the deck and down to Earth! I love that whatever level of ability you are from googin to expert fisherman the mates are there to help. Great time fishing for all!

I love Big Mohawk. The mates take GREAT care of my son and I. People are very helpful. Captain Payton does everything he can to get you fish! I even made a friend who lent me and my son a lure that was working well for him. Highly recommend!

have not been on party boat for a very long time since i got my boat more than 15 years ago. and first time on big mohawk. i must said that the experience was so awesome. young capt peyton and his young mates put us on fish right away. i got my 3 limits by 10AM. big mohawk experience was definitely a great one. will go back on this boat again for sure and will have lots of friends coming along.

Tuesday, May 21st, 2024.....Great Day on the water. I brought my daughter with me and we had a GREAT DAY! We started catching fish almost immediately and we caught all day long. I even caught my first cod. Just a great day. Barry, the other mates and the captain did a really terrific job keeping us all happy and busy. I walked away with 10 Seabass and 1 Cod, all were very tasty!

Best Fishing Boat in the NJ. If are a noice or a pro. The Big Mohawk offers you the best day on the water. I have fished before I can remember and I lean something new each time on this boat. knots, techniques, etc. Capt. Payton and the crew go the extra mile everyday. Get out and fish!!!

I’m giving this boat an absolute five star review. I’ve been going out on party boots for about 40 years and this is my first time with a big mohawk and I could say that these guys really put their effort out for you. The captain is not afraid to move and hunt for the fish he put you on the fish he’s actively moving around Seeing what’s working. What’s not very on top of his game and the meats are just outstanding fast efficient polite answer. Any question had a great day Seabass fishing limited out and look forward to other trips in the future with this awesome boat.

What a great time we had! We went with 6 of us on the first Saturday in August. The water was a little rough, but nobody can control that part. We rented poles, and it couldn't have been easier. The captain and his staff are super helpful! Their communication is awesome, and they are fun, and you'll learn something about fishing. We'll be back to do this again.
