I started working with Zapwater back in 2012 when I was opening a retail store in Chicago. They were recommended by a friend and not knowing Chicago at the time I was researching a lot of firms.
I was immediately struck by their enthusiasm and professionalism - my first contact there was Jennifer Lake and she was beyond impressive with her ideas, creativity and organization and was what I needed to get the word out about my store fast.
They put together my beautiful opening party, as well as other fun store events, developed a month by month plan to keep the exposure and momentum up to attract the right people and media. I had articles in all the big magazines, and had a great list of clients whom they had originally introduced to the store. The team, including the Head of Zapwater himself, David Zapata, came by often and were incredibly communicative and responsive to my ideas and needs. You not only get one of them, you get all of them- their whole team became good friends and work very hard to over deliver on goals you set together.
I highly recommend this amazing team for any of your PR needs and their level of professionalism, contacts and creativity will not disappoint!

I have to say that I’m really disappointed with this company. First off when you call in you get an option to leave a message by pressing #, or speak to an operator by pressing *. Well it won’t allow you to go to speak to anyone at all and just loops back to the same message when you press star. The only option I had was to leave a message (went unreturned). One of their colleagues (then later in the day referred me) back and gave me the owners direct cell number. I called it the next day and the owner doesn’t have his voicemail on so I couldn’t even leave a message there. Perhaps they are out of business I don’t know but Tatjana at mekky media returned my call immediately and Noreen at heron and staff gave a prompt response as well (they also hire great staff to answer the phone). I hope you can improve on this and I would be happy to take down the review. It seems pompous and arrogant to not answer phones or return calls. Zap missed out on an over $100,000 a year customer.
