Cool spot for live music, not too busy sometimes, and no cover.

Easy to walk in and not pretentious. Good price for drinks and food for snacks as well.

Good for live music and a quick bite before you head to another location.

First time in Austin we stopped in for a bit while walking downtown. LSD (band pictured with their adorable dog) was playing. Stayed longer than expected because they were good and the atmosphere was good. Didn’t eat, but the folks nachos next to me sure did look good. The bartender could have been a little friendlier, especially considering it was fairly slow. Would revisit for live music again.

Never ate food here, because we always ended up there for the drinks and always Awesome entertainment!
They're reasonable in drink pricing. I recommend their Lady Bird cocktail.

Probably my favorite bar in the 6th street area, the crowd is a bit older than the other bars in the area which I like since I’m in my late 30s. Great live music by Brad Steiger dude is dope

Great place with great blues musicians playing every time walk past (I feel compelled to go in every time). The musicians are very open and easy to talk to. The bar staff seem to find it hard to smile, which is unusual for Austin (and ironic given the name of the bar). But it's a great place nonetheless!

Bad experience!!! It wasn’t be a friend as their name.

Went at Friends bar last Thanksgiving trip with friends for celebration. Had 3 cocktails and 2 double Bailey's How was possible cost $114.99 to be charged on my account. They taken advantage of holiday seasons did over charged. I pissed

Visiting Austin, so asked my waitress about a live music spot, she recommended Friends! And I'm so glad she did.. The Band was 🔥! I hate I don't know the name of the band, but cocktails were delicious.
(Didn't eat, but they do have food options)
Would definitely tell someone else to visit here.

Came through 02/08 and was pulled in by this incredible band. As a solo traveler I never miss an opportunity for unique music and people playing from their Soul. Needless to say, I was absolutely blown away by their music and original flavor. Crowd control and energy was on point. Hands down one of thee best spots in Austin. Can’t wait to be back again. 🙏🏽
