After a long awaited time for this place to open, it finally opened! We went in to check it out one evening for dinner, and weren’t disappointed. My husband had the fish and chips and I had a chicken sandwich that I forgot the name of but it was very good! I’d highly recommend the fish and chips. The french fries are really good as well. It was pretty busy when we were there, but the service didn’t lack. The atmosphere is really cool. I’d recommend going into just check it out if not to get something to eat. We will be back definitely.

I was excited to have a new food option out in Leon Springs. Wow, what a disappointment. The calamari was like eating rubber bands. We had them take it away because it was inedible. The manager (not GM) tired to tell us it looked fine. We said try it. When we got the bill the calamari we returned and could not eat was on there. The bartender got the manager. She came up to us and told us she was going to take 50% off. What?!? I said then remake it and I’ll take it to go. After realizing I already waited way too long for my original order, I decided to go without the food. This place is over priced, the portions are tiny, and the food is gross. Also, the manager has terrible customer service skills. Even the bartender told us he didn’t understand why she took half off our appetizer. $17.95 for bad calamari. Check out the photos of this menu. I wish we took a photo of the calamari before we returned it, but I did not. They charge $5.95 for table bread. Go to Texas Roadhouse next door and get bread for free. $7.95 for a side. And the side are small. These prices and portions are a joke. 2 people ate. We had 3 beers, (noticed when we got home we were charged for 4 beers), 1 chicken plate, and 1 bowl of soup (oh and half an appetizer) and spent $98 (and still tipped). Don’t waste your time.

I think I’ll go back tomorrow since their phone number doesn’t work. How dare they take off half of my appetizer and then charge me for one extra beer that we didn’t have. This place is SHADY.

Loved this place!! didn't recognize this at first, but Stephanie and Steven were taking care of me in the bar, so from now on it will be easy to remember. I stayed a while. I had the Beer Battered Mushrooms, and Croque Madame to eat. I had the King's Cup, the L&R Old fashioned and one of my old favourites, black and tan. A Half-and-Half to be more specific. Half Harp, half Guinness. A little pricey but worth it if you love that life. I do. I shall return.

I am very surprised at such a missed opportunity. This restaurant and bar could have been a wonderful addition to the area. A upscale, comfortable and trendy bar/ late night scene is lacking. There are several sports bars and casual places nearby but nothing quite like what an English Pub could bring to the scene. This restaurant is a total miss for me and I will not be back unless serious changes are made to the interior. The biggest problem for me was the cheap and uncomfortable chairs they chose both at the tables and at the bar. These are the lowest of the low-end cheap chairs anyone could ever find. No cushion, wobbly, ugly to look at and of course uncomfortable to sit on and the height is not cohesive with the bar and your legs and feet are at an uncomfortable position because of them. Also the decor and feel is so tacky and low-end but they're charging higher end prices. The bar and ceiling is so incredibly cluttered and unattractive. Everything seems fake and not authentically English. It doesn't look like an English Pub at all. There are no purse hooks underneath the bar to hang your purse. The wait staff are wearing silly, tacky outfits that are also not flattering to look at. The couple of people who seemed like possible managers were not welcoming and also came off as not professional. The bartender didn't know if they had any specialty margaritas. The whole first time experience was off-putting. I can forgive the staff for not knowing their stuff when they just opened but the biggest glaring issues with this restaurant are not service related. A serious misstep in planning or trying to open on the cheap instead of thinking long-term. It's not attractive inside. Look at " The Pub" at the Mercado in Naples, FL to get an idea of what this restaurant should have been trying to capture.

Thank goodness we have one here in San Antonio again!!! Reminds me of my mother who's passed on 10 years now. Thank you for bringing back a wonderful place! From great service to yummy food to live music and clean restrooms, what else could you ask for!

Whatever you're imagining a British Pub to be, this place will exceed that. The food is so fun and better than you'd expect (English food, right? But this is GOOD)

The service is friendly, attentive, but not pushy. Thye know their menu, they help each other, they care about you from the moment you walk in and they greet you, all the way through getting your check.

Sarah and Ciara behind the bar are dolls!

The place is cuter than I'd have guessed, has several different areas that are accommodating and large, yet somehow intimate and cozy.

They haven't even had the grand opening yet! To be at this level for a soft opening, less than 3 weeks in, speaks very highly. I can't wait to go back!

We’ve been anticipating the opening of this location for quite a while And we were very excited when they open their doors. The initial reviews did show us away for a bit, As with any new business, there’s always a learning period And I do believe you always have to give some grace. So we waited a little bit before we came in for a visit and it was Well, worth the wait. Parking was ample and easy we were greeted with a smile at both the door and the hostess stand And we’re able to sit immediately at the bar. The bartender got us waters right when we sat down And gave us menus right away. My favorite dish to order are the fried mushrooms and they did not disappoint! Just as I remember and just as good! The beer was cold. The glasses were iced. The bartender was attentive and kind. Tony, the manager came up to
Personally introduce himself and chat with us. He’s one cool cat! Very kind and attentive & made great conversation. He even bought us a sample of the house, chips and cheese sauce, which was fantastic! He gave us some information on upcoming event the restaurant Will be hosting and we can’t wait to come back!

I’ve been in the restaurant business for 21 years and worked at the original location. So I was so excited to see them building this location cause I’ve been craving the chips and cheese for YEARS! Needless to say I was grossly disappointed with my experience. First of all the building has zero charm, big open spaces with no intimacy like you’d expect from The Lion and the Rose. Where are the booths where you can spend hours having inappropriate quiet conversations with your friends? And the item I specifically came for the chips and Guinness cheese, sad! They are now longer chips style, they’re steak fries. And the cheese comes in such a tiny dish, that I had to ask for more to even have enough to finish the fries. AND TO TOP IT OFF that was $3. So a portion of fries is $8 the cheese is $3 so tell me why it’s listed on the menu for $12?!?! I paid $15 for fries and cheese. I guess I can make sense of a 14oz import beer being $8. I was sooo excited to see Sticky Toffee Pudding on the dessert menu, but it was cloying and not warmed properly.
All in all, they have a lot of work to do IF they what to make a successful restaurant. If not I don’t see it lasting the year.
