This is the perfect place to go get drinks on any day during the week, specially if you’re in town for a conference or something like that. Their tequila list is limited, but they have a good selection of other more common drinks like whiskey, scotch, and cocktails. The atmosphere is classy, and you’re guaranteed to meet great people there.

Drinks are too expensive. Instead of paying over $20 for each drink, walk around the corner and find a nice place for half the price and much kinder service. As a group, we stood at the bar to get our drinks and then went to sit at a table. We were told that we had to order our drinks from the waitress working that table. For a clearer picture, the bar is the center of the room, and all of the tables are surrounding it so it definitely seems that they are all connected. In fact, the waitress fills her orders by the exact same bartender. When the rest of the group arrived and sat at a table, we were not allowed to sit with them because we were already holding drinks. So we stayed at the bar, but as each person finished their drink, the bartender asked them to leave, even though the majority of us still had partially filled drinks. The decor is very nice. And even though the drinks were overpriced, we would've gone back the following evening had the service not been horrific.

We were planning on stopping in for a quick drink and ended up staying for hours to watch Big John Mills. He plays 3rd Thursday of every month and was awesome. The staff was great and the drinks were cold. Perfect spot to watch some music and grab a drink.

We just walked through this pace on a visit to Austin and were amazed how beautiful it is. All the details and furniture have been particularly selected and made for this space. It looks amazing.
I would love to come back in different visit.

We came in here in the middle of summer and it felt a little hit or miss. It was definitely busier on Friday night than it was on Saturday night. The waiter made it feel like it was a chore serving us. The Lady Bird cocktail was very good and we did enjoy the pretzel. I was however a little frustrated by the lack of live music. Their website says it’s on hiatus until October, but if you are staying in the hotel it makes you feel like you are paying for there to be live music on site and that just isn’t the case for all of summer apparently.

This hotel (and bar) is a must-see when visiting Austin! It's historical inside and out!

Great place to grab a drink. Soak in some old school country vibes accentuated with country music.

Food was disappointing, ordered the lamb sliders, which were cold and the lamb was a bit undercooked and also coldish.

The pretzel was decent and the show stealer was the beer, cheese and mustard sauce. It was amazing.

I’d Definitely highly recommend this iconic hotel for everything but the food.

Go ahead and stop. Get the truffle popcorn but don't bother with the drinks. Place needs cleaned, dark and rough around the edges. Not reminiscent of the glamour of its day.
