The loveliest place! Like a home away from home. The staff are so helpful, such a delight to go here.
The food is amazing also, I had the mushroom tagliatelle-there was so much flavour, just perfect.

They were understaffed. We and all the tables around us were waiting for the server for various needs - ordering, drink refills, check, etc. The person filling our water was attentive so we had to communicate via him a couple times. We were stressed because we had a show to go to.
On the positive side, the place had a warm, inviting atmosphere, reasonably priced drinks and food, and great vegetarian options. My husband and I liked our entrees - cod and a mushroom flatbread. The Joyce Amber was good too.
I would come back on a night when we have no time constraints.

Spent several hours in here last week while we were staying across the road.
Food was fantastic, freshly made, well presented and quick delivery. Catered perfectly for my food allergies, nothing was a problem.
Staff were friendly and helpful and checked on us regularly. We were sent over a round of drinks by the owner more than once and they were very gratefully received.
Fabulous live music and impromptu Irish Dancing.
They even opened early on a Sunday morning for us to watch the Celtic v Rangers game, nothing was a problem.
Highly recommend if your in Manhattan

The Joyce is a hidden gem of the city, a great little place to eat or have drinks, the staff are friendly and make you feel so welcome, they were amazing with my 8 year old daughter and it was a great place to celebrate new years eve. We visited a few times over our weeks stay and were never let down, the food, service and value for money was always good, plus as we were staying on the same street we received a 10% discount. I was even given dessert when they found out it was my birthday. The manager Ruiari was really nice and all servers were great but Carlos went above and beyond for us each visit. Would definitely visit again.

Choosing a place to dine in NYC can be overwhelming, simply due to the sheer numbers and varieties of options. We stopped in this establishment mainly due to the proximity of our hotel. As it turns out, it was a indeed a good choice.

They offer a good selection of comfort foods, and gourmet selections. Pricing are reasonable in comparison. The staff was attentive to our needs, and entrees were done in a timely manner. The interior of the dining area was nicely furnished to provide a cozy ambience.

Overall, a good place to dine in for dinner, or just to have a drink with family or friends.

I only stopped in for a Fiddlehead IPA and some sweet potato fries, but if they're any indication of a larger experience at this cozy West Side pub, I'll be back for a four-course feast. My fries were perfect and subtly seasoned only enough to showcase the sweetness of the tubers. And of course my beer was spectacular. Best of all, situated on 39th just west of 8th Avenue, it's a brisk walk AWAY from the madness of Times Square.

Very comfortable place. Food awesome! They have their own beer. France Vs Whales Rugby and Liverpool vs Man City Football. Bean Soup and The Joyce Beer! Oh the Fish n Chips. And there’s even more incredible platters.

Large, clean, fanciful commons with big polished bars, plenty on tap, and high-quality menu. Friendly, chill service with cold, easy drafts. Roomy, breezy, and open. Old-school, vintage interior with echoes of beer garden and European ale house. Nice vibes and one of the best spots to linger in midtown.
