Spent the first night of our honeymoon here after roadtripping up from our wedding in Florida and could not recommend more! The food was amazing, the service was quick and attentive. The chicken Caesar salad was the best Caesar I’ve ever had, the Philly egg rolls have a curry ketchup that is the perfect complement to it, and the JRB burger was perfectly cooked. We can’t wait to come back to NYC and have this added to our must revisit list!

Dropped by here for dinner while walking through NYC. This is a Pub and still family friendly. The food we ate was amazing and soooooo delicious! The Burgers were cooked perfectly to medium/rare and the fish and chips were tender and juicy. My kids are picky eaters and they cleaned their plates. Not a single bite left!! The cook did a great job preparing the meals.
The server working Monday night was awesome!! He worked the entire restaurant alone and didn't disappoint. He checked on us often and did an amazing job. It was very refreshing seeing a server who works so efficiently.
We will definitely return and recommend to anyone!

We found this place when Googling 'pub near us'... It's a small, warm and excellent place. I'd say more of an Irish pub just because many of the servers seem to be from Ireland. We ended up eating and drinking there three times during our trip... Great draft beer and whiskey selection. Food was typical pub food - burgers, fries, fish and chips, etc... The service was quick and friendly. We had a great time chatting it up with them.

Small bar. Good service. But very narrow Ave uncomfortably tight. A few table in the rear. Pretty crowded for a 5pm weekday visit. Outdoor seating available. Noisy, as most good bars tend to be. Did not stay to eat.

Best food and service in New York. Ordered Classic Burger and Fish & Chips. The best sauces and cooked to prefection. Portioning was great (more European than American). We went, just before Christmas, it was extra busy but we got a table, and our server Sonia could not have been better. So Friendly and Efficient.
A must visit.

I was not expecting to have such an awesome meal at what I thought was just your average pub looking from the outside in—this “pub” is far from average. Very cool, old school atmosphere, quick service, good selection of beers and cocktails, seriously delicious food. Got the Philly spring rolls (they come with ketchup but ask for the jalapeño garlic aioli), the JRB Burger with Cajun fries, and the truffle mac & cheese. Everything was perfect—cooked perfectly, not greasy, super fresh, flavorful, juicy, cheesy, truffle-y…please excuse me while I wipe the drool from my face.

No nice gluten free options, just plain meat or salad.

This is one of the many places that seems like it used to be an Irish bar and now for some reason it's a "Western" place.

Judge Roy Bean Public House is a decent spot for a beer. They have a pretty large menu for both taps and bottles / cans. The service is solid. There is decent seating for groups of 2 and 4, with a handful of larger spots (e.g., a table along a wall with 5 bar stools), as well as a very long bar. Prices are fine for NYC and it can be packed but most of the time isn't too bad.
