This review deserves poop emojis not stars, because that’s how I have been treated by Mrs. Montisano. I regret having trusted in her to do quality work & to be professional.

This lady completely botched my application for citizenship from day one. I had documentation ready for a dui I had many years ago which she NEVER submitted!!! it appears she didn’t understand what an arrest really was- we actually had a discussion on this and I had to explain that handcuffs on do not just mean being detained and that I was arrested.

She lied on the application stating I had never been arrested. She later told me she didn’t feel it necessary since it had been so long ago…news flash, this isn’t a credit bureau, ITS THE GOVERNMENT!!! They know everything!

After my in-person interview/test which I passed, I get asked about my arrest only to find out right there & then she never submitted them! And lied on it. I was mortified and appalled. I called her immediately after leaving the exam. Of course she lied saying they didn’t ask for it. Of course they did because again, they have everything on you.

I get a letter a week later where not only do they want to see this documentation but now they also want taxes going back 5 years. Needless to say she was not happy she got caught & had to come pick up the documents.

As someone who charges $$ & does this for a living: 1, you don’t lie on a federal application and 2 you should know exactly what needs to be submitted. After the final denial all she kept saying was “I only fill out the application” NO you LIED on my application.

Now three months have passed and I receive notice from immigration that I have been denied! After submitting the docs months ago, I’m now finding out what was submitted was insufficient information & since she doesn’t know what she’s doing at least (in my case) they have denied the entire thing.

My application should not have gotten this complicated, I have lived in the US for over 40 yrs., have not been in & out of the country, and my dui was over 25 yrs. ago and dealt with.

This woman has cost me time AND money, over $1,000.
Now I will need to hire an attorney to see if they can fix this mess she created. And potentially will have to pay another $700 to appeal her mistake.

It’s very clear she does not care about her clients, not me at least, She was unprofessional on so many levels and reluctant to help, making excuses & not replying back in a timely manner- if at all.

So this review is mostly a cautionary tale in the hopes this doesn’t happen to someone else.

I will be reporting her to the BBB as well- as how she treated me and my case is completely unacceptable and reprehensible. Shame on you Lucy.

9/6/24 UPDATE in response to Company reply:

To reiterate, Lucy came to my home, She manually wrote on the application as she filled out the form & asked questions. She was informed prior to AND during this process that there was an arrest.

The entire reason she was hired was because she was supposed to be experienced in the process- clearly, she was not. She knew ahead of time there had been an arrest and was offered all the documentation needed to submit which she did not.

The least she could do is take full responsibility for her wrongdoing.
