We dropped by this place on a Friday afternoon 3pm for a couple of happy hour beers. Friendly courteous staff provided service expediently. Good drinks, snacks and vibe at this neighborhood pub.

A Brittish pub that prides itself on its diverse community and service to its customers. The selection of spirits at the bar is impressive and not limited to Brittish brands. The house beer and lagers are recommended. The recommended dish can only be the fish and chips platter. From there you are good to go as well as being in good company for this splendid pub's joyous planned activities or watching a simple sports game. A perfect destination for parties and festive events. Nothing about this pub is faked. It was founded by an authentic British family and remains a reputable and remarkable cornerstone of the Almaden Valley.

Hosted an event here and the staff was PHENOMENAL. The coordinating of the event with Julia was effortless and smooth. The staff that evening was exceptional at taking our groups food and drink orders and making sure we were well cared for.

We will be back!

We also had some appetizers for the event that were perfect. The fruit platter was amazing and all the fruit was sweet and perfectly ripe! That's rare for a fruit platter anywhere...

Potato skins and chips and guac were delicious as well!

Good, local, long-standing pub for visiting friends and having some food and drink. Service was nice, though could be better with refilling water or other beverages. Food follows more "traditional" English pubs with fish and chips, shepherds pie, and kidney pie - but also has some standard American food (e.g. burgers). Parking lot can be limited due to other popular places nearby, but not too bad to find a spot. Close to major roads and highway 85, so very convenient.

The atmosphere is really loud, the food is cooked well, but has no flavor, it has no salt at all, I don't even know how you could have fries, or "chips" without salt... Anyways, the food was mediocre, service was great, but it was really loud and it's not fit for a family dinner. I know they could do better, they have something special, but it will take a lot of effort.

I’ve been here twice. Food is pretty much “bar food”, so don’t have high expectations. I knew it’s not going the best meal ever….!!! Of course combine that with British culinary and you know you’re not eating anything special. The bangers are usually the ordinary sausage and chips are potato fries. Last time I had the stake and kidney which I regret ordering it. This time I thought I’ll try something else. I didn’t have the Shepherds pie but I’ve heard from others it’s not that great. We ordered four different meals. The stake sandwich looked ok. The Cornish pastie was super dry and we had to ask for extra Garvey and that didn’t help either. Same thing with the chicken pot pie it was too dry. The side veggies were steamed. I usually pick on my family’s dishes when there’s veggies but these looked nothing appetizing so I didn’t even bother tasting them. I ordered the Patti melt which I think it was the most better looking of all four meals and yet not the best Patti melt out there. The Patti was much smaller than the rye bred and the bread was somewhat to the burned side and greasy. I ordered a side salad but the lettuce was old and turning yellowish red around the edges. I ate my food because I was hungry but I don’t think I would order food at this place again. If it wasn’t for my family, I would r even go there again. Service was very slow but the waitress was new and she apologized for being new and not familiar with everything.
