Great bar with delicious draught beer. The price was affordable, I ordered Guinness and it cost $10 included tax. There were plenty tables to sit so u didn't need to wait too long. The toilet was clean, I really loved the scent. The service was fast.

Gotta be my new Fav in the city of San Francisco. Food is excellent, wait staff was right on time with everything and love the overall environment at this Pub. We went 3 days in a row to experience 1/3 of the food on the menu so it’s now a mission to complete the other 2/3 when we return in the next few months. Cottage Pie, Ribs, Clam Chowder, Irish Coffee and OMG, the Guinness from Tap…A Whole Nother Level. Check out the menu and plan to stay for awhile. You will not be disappointed.

We visited John Foleys for dinner and, unfortunately, had a disappointing experience due to a significant oversight on the menu. My husband ordered the lamb shank, only to discover while eating that the dish contained bacon—something not mentioned on the menu. When we initially asked the waitress, we were told there was no pork in the dish, so he continued eating. However, five minutes later, we were informed that the gravy actually contained pork.

This was extremely upsetting, as my husband does not eat pork for religious reasons. Mistakes happen, but this is a serious issue, and the restaurant should take dietary restrictions more seriously. To make matters worse, the only resolution offered was removing the dish from our bill—no compensation, no sincere apology.

It’s a shame because the rest of the experience was enjoyable—the draft beer was great, and the fish and chips were excellent. However, a mistake like this, especially one that could impact someone’s dietary needs or allergies, should be handled with much more care and responsibility.

I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves transparency on their menu and staff training regarding ingredients.

Picked up a box of Gangly Units and a pickle for old lady Cranktaker at the Holiday Inn there next to the Johnny Foley's Irish House Restaurant, and decided...What the hell! I may as well go in and see what kind of boiled mutton they're serving tonight. And, let me tell you...I was taken aback...the place was really jumping, full of fun people just having a blast eating and drinking, a really enjoyable experience.

Absolutely delicious food! We stopped for some shareable apples, and the portions were bigger than expected, but the flavour and freshness was divine!

Very cool atmosphere inside. Old wood bar, painting of Irish icons on the wall, Irish music. The staff was friendly and attentive. Great selection of beers and cocktails. (Non-alcoholic drinks as well) The food wasn’t great. Not horrible, just not great. The cottage pie tasted like it was out of a can. The fish and chips were average. Still a cool place, have a pint and enjoy, maybe grab dinner somewhere else.

Gets a little crowded, but only because the food is so good. Staff is great and food is excellent. Had the Guinness Lamb Stew, house-made Irish soda bread, and (on a separate night because I was too stuffed the first night from dinner) came back just for the Irish soda bread pudding with caramel and Baileys custard, and it did not disappoint!
