I’m not often in Shinjuku so when I had the opportunity to visit the Watering Hole on a Wednesday afternoon I couldn’t help myself, especially since I heard a number of home brewers talking about it the weekend before. The venue was comfortable, easy to find, and the beer was delicious. With that being said, damn, it was pricey. ¥1900 yen is a lot for a beer, though that seems to the way of beer in Tokyo.

One of the go-to spots for craft beer in Japan. They have a great selection of craft beers here. You may not got a lot of food here except basic finger food. Their beer changes monthly I think so it’s great to try out the new beers.

Cute trendy little craft beer bar. Great selection of craft beers. Cozy atmosphere, with plenty to look at, with all the stickers, bottles, logos etc. the staff were very friendly. The food was quite tasty as well, even though it mostly has simple bar food options. Excellent choice for beer enthusiasts.

Watering Hole is a cool beer bar with a great beer selection, and very attentive staff. If you're looking for craft beer in Shinjuku then it's definitely worth a visit.

There is a mixture of Japanese and foreign craft beer, and a nice mixture of styles if you're looking for something a bit more interesting. There's also a bottle shop selling all sorts of cans.

We only had fries with samurai sauce, which weren't anything to write home about but were tasty nonetheless. Saying that, you should come here for the beer.
